  • ACCent on Music Concert - 2022 Planning

    The Directors of Music from the ACC member schools are requested to complete the details below in planning for the 2022 ACCent on Music concert at Hamer Hall. This information will assist the Production Team in establishing the ensemble structure, repertoire, conductors, role allocations, etc.

  • NOMINATION FOR CONDUCTOR (1st)

    Schools are invited to nominate a staff member to conduct an item. Directors of Music are welcome to nominate themselves or another staff member by completing the details below. All nominations will be considered by the Production Team and details confirmed as soon as possible. Note: preference is for nominees to be an employee of the school rather than a casual or sessional music staff member. Details can be discussed with a member of the Production Team for clarification if required.

  • PRODUCTION TEAM AND SUPPORTING ROLES

    The focus of this event is "Collaboration", with all schools expected to play an active role in supporting the planning and implementation of the Concert. The Production Team will take the lead in overseeing the majority of the planning leading up to the Concert, with a number of event day roles to be allocated to other schools as required.

    Please indicate below if you would like to nominate for the role of Technical Director.

  • Role Details:

    • Concert logistics – instrumental requirements, bump in/out
    • Staging design and planning
    • Stage management oversight 
    • Liaison with “Fine Music” re provision of equipment, transport and bump in / out

    Stuart Collidge from Whitefriars performed this role back in 2018 and there are some excellent resources available based on his great work.

    Note: there are multiple roles to be filled, with schools expected to have two or three staff members assisting to cover the various jobs. If roles are not filled and schools have not nominated, then roles will simply be allocated based on requirements and schools expected to fill them.

The ACCent on Music Concert is the largest and most challenging event that the Association undertakes, but has also produced some of the most outstanding collaborative work from our member schools.
