Job Application Form - Instructor Position

Mathnasium is a national franchise with over 1000 locations in the US. There are currently over 100,000 enrolled students across the centers. Mathnasium of Longmeadow opened online during the 2020 pandemic, and we are now open for in-person instruction at 801 Williams St, Longmeadow MA. Our students range from first grade through pre-calculus high school students.

When a new student enrolls at Mathnasium, they are assessed to identify areas where they need help. We then create a custom learning plan that focuses on their trouble spots. No two students are exactly the same, so no two students have exactly the same learning plan!

An instructor's job is to coach students through their learning materials. This includes explaining new topics, answering questions, reviewing completed work, and helping with homework. Mathnasium instructors are mentors and coaches. Your job will be to help ensure that students are learning and staying motived through their session. You will work with several kids at one time - and we'll train you how to do that.

Mathnasium instructors need to have strong math knowledge - ideally through precalculus. A math test through Algebra II is part of the application process.

Mathnasium instructors should have experience working with kids. Tutoring experience is ideal, but all kinds of experience working with children will be considered.

Mathnasium instructors should be excited about math, and excited about teaching math. Our love and enthusiasm for math will pass on to our students, helping them overcome their fear of math and transforming it into a lifelong passion!
