    • Choir Ensemble (Rooms 4-11)

      The IvyCrest Choir Ensemble workshop is a dynamic ensemble experience that combines vocal performance, movement, and stage presence. Students work as a team to rehearse and perform energetic, age-appropriate repertoire across genres — from Broadway to pop to choral pieces — all while building core musical and performance skills.

      Throughout the 3 month workshop, students will develop vocal technique, performance skills, choreography, teamwork, and discipline. The workshop culminates in a live performance (Tentative date: November 13th, 2025), where students showcase their hard work in a fun, high-energy setting for family, friends, and the school community. We may select a Broadway-style musical, if enrollment allows. Selection of performance material will be based on enrollment.

      Together, we will cultivate musicality, confidence, and expression, encouraging creative risk-taking through ensemble performance . This course offers a supportive and inclusive environment for students of all experience levels.  

    • Cooking Academy

      Session: 9/8/2025-10/13/2025

       In this scrumptious class, students will tantalize their taste buds and have fun with food! Explore different recipes each week! Learn the math of measuring, nutrition, and cooperation skills while creating fabulous meals, competing in cooking challenges, and discovering that cooking is a fun and delicious art form. (Please email oc@parker -anderson.org if your child has any minor allergies. This class is not recommended for students with severe food allergies.) 

    • Fine Art & Sculpture

      Session: 9/2/2025-10/7/2025

      Instructor: Parker-Anderson 

      We explore different at media using a variety of materials including watercolor, paint, and pastels. Students will learn important artistic techniques such as perspective, shading, detail work, horizon line, and more. Learn about famous artist while creating beautiful pieces insppired by their works. Your art dreams become real as you explore different styles, making the coolest art around... YOURS!

      We also learn about famous sculptors and complete fun projects inspired by their works! We teach the principles of sculpture and allow students to explore and create their own works of art with various media. Learn how to make different forms of sculpture such as figurines, mosaics, and abstract structures. 

    • Silly Science

      Experiment with a bit of chemistry, paleontology, physics, and so much more. Children will develop a passion for learning about the world around them.

    • Rocket Science and Astronomy

       Ready, set, blast off! Explore the Universe as we launch everything from Film Canister Rockets to Water Bottle Blasters, Business Card Boomerangs, and much more! Our adventures will take us to Titan, Mars, and a Galactic Cluster or two as we learn about comets, constellations, and our galaxy! This class is out of this world!

       Make your own accessories in this hands-on class using a variety of materials. Among the items created are bracelets, necklaces, pins, and more. Hone your fine motor and design skills as you create intricate works to gift or keep.

    • Jurassic Dino World

      Session: 9/5/2025-10/10/2025

      Instructor: Parker-Anderson Enrichment

      Learn all about dinosaurs in this fun, hands-on class! Explore the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous eras through all sorts of project- based activities: Dino digs, fossil hunts, and 'Dino of the Day' activities! You even get to excavate your own dino egg, learning essential paleontology skills.

    • Karate (Primary & Elementary: Rms 4-11)

      Students will learn basic martial arts techniques through various lessons and exercises designed to improve their physical strength, flexibility, overall health, self-esteem, mental alertness, and goal-setting skills.

      This program is designed for all skill levels and focuses on developing fundamental football skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.  Students will learn the basics of passing, receiving, running routes, and defensive strategies, all while enjoying a fun and supportive environment. 

      Through engaging drills, games, and friendly scrimmages, participants will enhance their athletic abilities, build confidence, and foster lasting friendships. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, this class is the perfect opportunity to stay active, make new friends, and develop a love for flag football.

      All students will have a fun and safe time while learning balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, and the fundamentals of gymnastics. Children will gain more self-confidence and motivation as they work with the balance beam, floor, parachute, hoops, and ribbons. The gymnastics class will also teach students how to take care of themselves as the instructor promotes proper stretching, a healthy diet, and discipline in exercising.

    • Soccer (Pre-Primary, Primary & Elementary: Rms 2-11)

      Soccer is an excellent source of physical activity and encourages the development of healthy lifestyle habits. Through activities and games, your child's character and attitude will be challenged and molded positively as they learn the elements of teamwork, sharing, communication, and respect. Not to mention it's a lot of fun!

      Students will learn to explore movement using music that encourages the development of their physical skills and nurture their creativity.

    • Ballet & Tap Intro (Primary: Rms 4-6)

      This introductory class is designed specifically for 3 and 4-year-olds. Students will be introduced to basic ballet concepts and tap fundamentals, as well as proper dance vocabulary all in a fun and nurturing environment. Creative movement games and activities will be incorporated to strengthen the understanding of technique and terminology, all while helping to develop fine and gross motor skills. This class is structured to teach interpersonal skills and group dynamics while fostering self-confidence.  

    • Ballet & Tap (Primary & Elementary: Rms 4-11)

      Students will learn body alignment, basic positions, and French terminology associated with ballet, as well as introductory tap movements and terminology.

    • Hip Hop & Jazz (Primary & Elementary: Rms 4-11)

      Instructor: Ms. Tanya Q.

      A Jazz & Hip-Hop dance class blends the energetic and expressive elements of jazz dance with the rhythmic and groove-driven styles of Hip-Hop.This class combines both styles into a fun routine that boosts coordination, strength, and flexability, as well as enhances creativity, focus, and confidence while promoting teamwork and cultural awareness.

      In these lessons, students will be introduced to the basic techniques of the instrument. They will learn how to read music and work to build strong foundations in rhythm, melodic playing, ear training, and sight reading. Ms. Sarah or Ms. Rosie will contact you regarding scheduling options.

      Primary lessons are 1 day a week for 45 min. Elementary lessons are 1 day a week for 60 min.

      Age Requirements:

      Guitar - 5 years old and above

      Piano - 3.6 years old and above

      Ukulele - 3.6 years old and above

    • Public Speaking (Primary & Elementary: Rms 4-11)

      Instructor: Ms. Corina

      This personalized speech development course is designed to help a child become more confident in their public speaking ability. Through this private lesson, your child will gain confidence, improve their speech clarity and articulation, and relieve public speaking anxiety.

      Primary lessons are 45 min each. Elementary lessons are 60 min each.

      I understand that by enrolling my child in a School of the Arts class between the hours of 12:30-2:30 PM, my child will be awakened from their nap by a School of the Arts staff in order to participate. Additionally, I understand that the School of the Arts teachers will be taking my child out of the classroom and walking them to and from the scheduled School of the Arts class location. I also acknowledge that IvyCrest’s School of the Arts classes including the location, staff, and children enrolled in the program are not subject to the Department of Social Services licensing guidelines and regulations.

      Names of Persons Authorized to Take Child from Classroom

      Child will not be allowed to leave with any other person without written authorization from parent/guardian or authorized representative.

  • PM Daycare

    Adding PM Daycare is required for the time the child is not enrolled in a SOA class. PM Daycare is also required for siblings of SOA participants if they will also be staying after 3:00 PM and are not enrolled in a SOA class. I acknowledge that my account will be charged accordingly. 

  • School of the Arts Enrollment Agreement (For All Students)

    I understand all School of the Arts classes will take place on-campus, but are taught by School of the Arts personnel. I understand that the tuition and fees associated with School of the Arts classes will be billed to my account monthly. Classes, with the exception of workshops, are continuous until a notice of withdrawal is submitted. I understand the two months notice of withdrawal policy noted in the Parent Handbook. If a class is cancelled by a School of the Arts staff, it will be rescheduled. There is no tuition credit for school events, holidays, illness, vacation, or absences. If I choose to observe my child's class, I understand that I must park at Searchlight Ministries. If my child is not enrolled in PM daycare, and the class is scheduled for after the academic day, I will be required to add PM daycare for the time my child is not enrolled in a School of the Arts class.
