STAFFORD MSD EARLY COLLEGE AND CAREER HIGH SCHOOL APPLICATION

Thank you for your interest and application to the Early College and Career High School (ECCHS) with Stafford MSD. We are excited that you want to learn more about everything we have to offer and apply for the Associate Degree or Certificate Program through Houston Community College (HCC).
Stafford’s Early College and Career High School and Houston Community College have formed a partnership that gives students attending Stafford High School the opportunity to earn an Associate of Arts Degree or Applied Science with the equivalent of 60 college credits that are transferable to any college-supported in Texas. A plan has been developed that integrates High School Graduation requirements with the HCC Associate's Degree requirements, which allows the student to complete both concurrently. Through this partnership, the Early College and Career High School is able to offer the degree at no cost to the student. This equates to over $35,000 in savings. According to an article in U.S. News, “in-state tuition and fees at public National Universities have grown the most, increasing 211%” (B. Kerr; US News) in the last 20 years.
*Application Process Steps: To apply for the Associate Degree or Workforce Certificate Dual Credit Program at Stafford Early College and Career High School, students must:

1. Complete and Submit the Information Form below.

2. Complete the online HCC Application through Apply TX.

3. Complete and Submit a HCC Dual Credit Waiver Approval Form.

*Step 2: Apply TX Application for HCC

As part of the Dual Credit Program, all students must complete a free online Application for Houston Community College through the Apply Texas Application. Students will need the following to complete: A Personal Email, Relative Personal Information, and a Social Security Number, if applicable.

*In 48-72 hours, check the Personal Email used for the Apply TX Application for the HCC Acceptance Letter. *The Letter will include the student’s W Number, which is a 9-digit number that starts with a W (This will be their HCC ID number). If the student does not have/include an SSN# on the application, then the acceptance letter will show a P-Number. *Provide the W-Number below. If a P-Number was issued, please enter that number.

Step 3: Dual Credit Waiver Approval Form

As part of the Dual Credit Program, all students must complete a Dual Credit Waiver Approval Form. Students will not be accepted and enrolled in the program classes if the waiver is not completed. Please open the following link and complete/submit the form at the Dual Credit Fee Waiver Link
