• Current Litters in Summer 2022

  • Thank you in advance for filling out this application! At first glance, you might think "sheesh, this is a little long - are all these questions really necessary?" I know, because I thought the same thing when we got our dogs!

Every family is different, and there are no right or wrong answers. We know many families have two working adults and we don't expect anyone to be a superhero and quit a day job just to be able to take home a puppy. Every puppy family has different needs, and this application helps us identify who needs what information and what homes might make the best fit. If you're a veteran cockapoo owner, we don't want to waste your time regaling things you already know; by the same token, if this is your first puppy, we want to make sure you leave prepared for what life with a puppy may bring. So again, thank you!

Puppies Go Home on May 10th Puppies will be ready to go home with you starting on May 10th.

  • Cockapoos come in two main coat types:

    • Curly
      • Tight curls like a poodle. These are the best for severe allergy sufferers as curly hair can prevent dander from being shed into the environment as much as in normal coats.
    • Wavy
      • The classic cockapoo teddy bear look. Their fur can range from tight to loose waves, and look very different based on how long you keep their coat. Mira and Jenny are both wavy type coats.

When kept long (Over 1-2 inches in length) curly coats require more brushing than the loose wavy coats, but if kept in a shorter cut (under 1")  and groomed every 4-6 weeks then the maintenance is about the same between the two coats.

    • Examples of Curly coats:
First Row - Picture of a past curly-coated puppy of Letties, and two pictures of Kado showing his curls as an adult
Second Row - Pictures of curly chocolate cockapoos (not from Sugarbear but great examples of the coat type), and a picture of a past curly puppy of Miras.
Third Row - Picture of Kado as an adult

Note with curly cockapoos the fur forms a round face with hair that is plush and curly, not the straight "falls" of the traditional cockapoos.
  • Examples of Wavy Coats can be found by going to our Dam page to see the cockapoo moms, they are all Wavy coats. One of them is shown below:

  • Getting on the Waitlist:

Once we receive your application we'll try to reply as soon as we can, please be patient though as we can get a lot of applications and with a busy puppy filled schedule sometimes we don't have time to answer right away.

If you're a good fit for one of our puppies then you can place a $100 non-refundable deposit on the puppy of your choice to hold them until they are ready to go at 8 weeks old.
