Authorized Dealer Requirements and Overview
Order Requirements and Discount
- All dealers will receive a 30% discount off MSRP
- First order minimum = $1500
- Annual purchase requirement = $5000
- Annual $ purchases will be based on calendar year (Jan - Dec)
- For new dealers, annual $ purchase requirements will be prorated based on when dealer account approved/initial order is placed using the following schedule:
- Initial order placed during 1st Quarter = $5000 requirement
- Initial order placed during 2nd Quarter = $3750 requirement
- Initial order placed during 3rd Quarter = $2500 requirement
- Initial order placed during 4th Quarter - $1500 requirement (first order minimum)
- A SmarterHome Dealer Representative will perform an annual audit of dealers to ensure minimum annual sales requirements are being met.
- Dealers who do not meet the annual $5000 purchase requirement will be "downgraded" to a 20% discount off MSRP until they reach the $5000 annual purchase requirement in annual sales. Once the $5000 requirement is met the 30% discount will be reinstated for the remainder of the calendar year. If a dealer fails to meet the $5000 annual requirement for an extended period of time they may lose their dealer privileges.
Order Processing and Shipping
- All dealer orders must be placed online through the dealer portal of our website at www.mysmarterhome.com.
- Dealers will pay all costs associated with shipping product from SmarterHome warehouse to their desired location.
- Payment (for product and shipping) will be required at time of order.
- If an order is placed for a product that is out of stock, or otherwise not available, the order will be placed on backorder and fulfilled once product becomes available.
Minimum Retail Price (MAP) Policy
- All dealers must comply with SmarterHome's MAP policy. Dealers who do not comply with the policy could lose their dealer privileges (see MAP policy for specific details).
SmarterHome Warranty
- Dealers must review and become familiar with the SmarterHome warranty, which can be found online atmysmarterhome.com/pages/warranty.
- As stated in the SmarterHome warranty, "the sole remedies afforded under [the SmarterHome warranty] are repair, replacement, or, if repair or replacement is not commercially practicable or cannot be timely made, a refund of the purchase price. SmarterHome will not be liable for consequential, indirect, special, or incidental damages related to the use of, or inability to use, any SmarterHome product".
- Any warranty offered by a dealer that exceeds the SmarterHome standard warranty will be the dealer's responsibility to fulfill.
- All product issues not related to the product installation should be directed to SmarterHome Customer Service for troubleshooting and issue diagnosis. This is key to helping SmarterHome determine whether or not the product in question needs to be replaced.
- SmarterHome will not be responsible for installation issues or costs incurred to troubleshoot installed products.
