Walla Walla University Torchbearer Pathfinders are committed first and foremost to the physical safety of our members. As "servants of God" and "friend[s] to man" who have promised to "care for our bodies", we are committed to safeguarding the health of both ourselves and each other. Torchbearer Pathfinders are comitted to comply with:
1. All state and federal guidelines and directives.
2. Directives from our county Health Department or other local health authorities.
3. Policies of the Upper Columbia Conference of whom our church and club are members.
4. Health policies of our sponsoring organization, the Walla Walla University Church.
Additionally, we may enact club policies related to COVID risk reduction. At this time, this means that:
1. We will seek to do activities outdoors rather than indoors when the activity and logistics permit. As Pathfinders, we love being outdoors in God's creation.
2. All indoor activities will require mask and social distancing of at least 3 feet.
3. When outdoors, Pathfinders and Staff will wear masks when outdoor activites do not allow for social distancing.
4. When camping, individual Pathfinder Units will be treated as pods and permitted to go unmasked when inside tents with other unit members.
5. Alternative tenting arrangements may be provided including the use of large outdoor tents with one or more sides removed for ventilation.
6. Tent ventiallation will be left open when weather permits.
These Covid policies are subject to change at any time due as new information and guidance emerges.
Thank you for both your patience and flexibility.
