3. Member Responsibilities and Commitments
As a team that benefits from the sponsorship of local businesses and institutions, players at times will be required to participate in events to honour agreements made between the team and sponsor. These will most frequently take the form of, but are not limited to, helping out at fundraising events.
a) Members are required to attend a minimum of 2 sponsorship events each year in order to participate in games.
In order to maintain harmonious and cohesive relationships, the team has adopted a buddy system. Players will be partnered up with a “buddy” according to their strengths and experiences. This will encourage inclusion, strengthen the bonds between players, and helps players maintain their mental health; a prevalent issue the Roundheads is dedicated to tackling. Players are to participate in the buddy system, ensuring as a minimum that they:
a) Check in with their “buddy” at training sessions.
b) Check in with their “buddy” at least once a month outside of training. This can take any form agreed upon by the “buddies”. Possible suggestions:
· meeting for a drink
· going for a walk together
· playing pass together
· a phone call
