About Future Majority
Future Majority is a national nonpartisan non-profit, founded in 2018. Our mission is to amplify the concerns of young Canadians so that EVERY candidate, politician, and party is an advocate for youth priorities. We set the agenda and impact policy by demonstrating our electoral strength and organizing ourselves in the places that matter most to politicians. Our approach focuses on authentic, peer-to-peer organizing, power building in politically important ridings, and youth leadership development. We’re for young people, by young people. Our impact and credibility with young voters positions us to help set Canada’s agenda around young Canadians’ priorities.
In the 2019 federal election, Future Majority organized 26,000 students to vote across 15 ridings across Canada. In addition, through over 200 news stories including 38 national news stories like the front page of the Sunday Toronto Star, we spread our message that young Canadians are the largest voting bloc and our priorities are bold action on climate change and affordability.

As part of a massive nationwide movement of hundreds of volunteer leaders, Fellows will mobilize their communities to make youth priorities central to the conversation of a likely fall election.
There are 5 Captain opportunities for Fellows to specialize in on each Riding Team:
Canvass Captain– Co-ordinate, schedule and train canvassers to drive record voter turnout in your community
Media Captain – Conduct journalist outreach and act as your team's media spokesperson
House Party Captain – Lead and train teammates to host virtual community-building events that will result in vote pledges
Recruitment Captain – Spearhead ongoing team recruitment and support new volunteers in owning their roles
Co-Directors - CD's power the whole campaign! They build strong teams and support their captains
We are also seeking applications for general Team Members who want to be a part of a dynamic team of young people working to mobilize hundreds of voters in their riding.
(Click here for more in-depth role descriptions!)
These positions are a great opportunity to meet and connect with passionate, talented young people nationwide and grow political power amongst the largest voting block in Canada: youth!
The Captain roles require a weekly time commitment of 4-6 hours per week (5-7 hours for Co-Directors) from August 19 to one week following the election, and applications will continue to be accepted throughout the campaign. Hours may increase slightly during a push week to execute your priority tactic. General Team Members will require a weekly time commitment of 3+ hours per week.
We believe that campaigns to empower youth voices in electoral politics require an inclusive and diverse workplace. We’d especially like to encourage Indigenous people, people of colour, women, people identifying as LGBTQ2S, immigrants and people with disabilities to apply. We recognize that this list is not exhaustive. Qualified persons are encouraged to apply regardless of their religious affiliation, race, age, sex, sexual orientation or nature of disability.
