Beth A. Munsch Memorial Education Scholarship

This scholarship has been initiated in memory of Beth Ann Munsch, a dedicated teacher who was committed to helping her students excel and achieve their potential.

A teacher who put her students first, Beth lost her battle to cancer at the beginning of the 2016-17 school year. Initially stricken with cancer at the end of the 2013 academic year, she continued to teach for three full years while undergoing numerous treatments. She was selfless in her dedication and passion for providing an environment for her students to thrive and learn.
Scholarship Award:
- One-time award of $1,500
- Based on overall achievements of applicant and required essay
- Announced at the annual Senior Awards Ceremony in May
- Award must be applied toward tuition at a 4-year accredited educational institution
- Check will be written jointly to the successful student and academic institution, which will be sent to the student requesting endorsement, who will forward the check to the appropriate school/university’s financial aid office for credit to the student’s tuition account
Scholarship Recipient Criteria:
- Applicant must declare intentions of earning an educational degree
- Senior at Cumberland Valley High School
- Proof of acceptance at an accredited 4-year educational institution prior to distribution of funds
