Mentor-Mentee Agreement
The following agreement is made between Leverage University and Mentee. We are voluntarily entering into this mentoring relationship which we both want to be a productive and rewarding experience. To minimize the possibility of confusion, we have agreed to the following:
Confidentiality: All information and content shared between the Mentor and Mentee shall remain confidential.
Expectations: It is expected that the Mentor will provide educational and developmental advice and guidance, and both parties will work together to identify the Mentee’s personal and professional goals, as well as developing a plan for achieving those goals. It is also expected that Mentors and Mentees will follow all expectations that are established between the mentor and mentee.
Meetings: The Mentee and Mentor will meet virtually starting the 1st week of the month, 2 times a week for 4 weeks on Mondays and Fridays beginning at 7pm - 8pm Central Standard Time. Meeting times, once started, should not be cancelled unless this is unavoidable. Meetings that are cancelled by mentor will be rescheduled immediately.
Each meeting will last a minimum of 60 minutes and a maximum of 90 minutes.
Length of Relationship: Mentoring relationships vary in length depending on circumstances. Our goal is to maintain our relationship for 4 weeks. However, either party has the option of discontinuing the relationship for any reason provided the terminating party notifies the other. No refunds will be given issued once the first scheduled meeting has commenced.
Additional Agreements:
We agree that the role of the Mentor is to:
- Serve as a mentor for mentee and provide guidance, oversight, and encouragement.
- Provide feedback regarding their mentorship contract, progress, and experience.
- Meet virtually and communicate regularly with my mentee to review their progress and help them work toward identified goals.
- Maintain confidentiality of our relationship.
We agree that the role of the Mentee is to:
- Meet regularly with my mentor and maintain frequent communication.
- Look for multiple opportunities and experiences to enhance my learning.
- Review my progress and adjust my contract as I work towards my identified goals.
- Maintain confidentiality of our relationship.
The Mentor agrees to be honest and provide constructive feedback while sharing insight on their own experiences as well. The Mentee agrees to be open to feedback that the Mentor shares and will respect the insight and experiences shared by the Mentor.
Indemnity Clause:
Each party shall indemnify, defend, and hold the other party harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, suits, demands, assessments, or judgments asserted, and any and all losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including, without limitation, attorneys fees, accounting fees, and investigation costs to the extent permitted by law) alleged or incurred arising out of or relating to any operations, acts, or omissions of the indemnifying party or any of its employees, agents, and invitees in the exercise of the indemnifying party's rights or the performance or observance of the indemnifying party's obligations under this agreement. Prompt notice must be given of any claim, and the party who is providing the indemnification will have control of any defense or settlement.
This means that one party (the indemnifying party) will pay the damages, claims, expenses and other types of payments listed in this provision if the other party (the indemnified party) as well as those related to the indemnified party listed in the provision, incurs damages as a result of something the indemnifying party does related to the agreement. The things the indemnifying party could do that would result in liability to the indemnified party are listed at the end of the provision (essentially acts or omissions under the agreement). This provision requires that the indemnified party promptly notify the indemnifying party of a claim and allow that party to control the defense or settlement of the claim.
