RFC Studio Request Form & Guidelines

RUTGERS FILMMAKING - MASON GROSS SCHOOL OF THE ARTS
The Civic Square Building has studios for Filmmaking BFA students use for film shoots and other production needs to complete coursework. The larger FILMMAKING STUDIO is located in CSB 326. The CRIT ROOM is a smaller class-room sized studio located in CSB 327.

Studio spaces must be reserved at least two business-days in advance. First consult artspace.rutgers.edu to confirm availabiltiy. Then submit your request for the date & time needed below. Your booking will be confirmed via email and you will be given an access code. If you have not received a confirmation within two business-days, email Kevin T. Allen @ kevin.t.allen@rutgers.edu

Filmmaking studios must be returned to their normal classroom set up after use. There should be no food, drinks, props, etc. left behind. If the room is found to be vandalized or not properly taken care of, we will report the incident to the Dean’s Office and you will charged for all required clean up costs.

326 LIGHTING GRID SAFETY PROTOCOLS
- I will use caution when using a ladder to access any lights.
- I will use gloves to tilt any tungsten (hot) lights.
- I will not attempt to move any of the lights to a new location.
- I not unplug or otherswise tamper with any of the lights (all functionality can be controlled from the touchscreen controller)
- I will not unplug or otherswise tamper with the touchscreen controller.
- I will report any tehcninal malfunctions or other issues to the Technical Supervisor.
To use the 326 Lighting Grid, you must agree to adhere to the above safety protocols.*

If the filmmaking studio is not returned to the classroom set up, if it is left in an untidy state, if c-stands, chairs, lights, or other objects are not properly stored at the rear or side of the studio, you will automatically be charged a $25 maintenance fee.*

After my scheduled use of the studio it is my responsibility to lock all doors and make sure the studio is left in the condition I found it.Failure to follow these responsibilities may result in loss of space usage for future events.Any cost related to damages to the facility and its contents are the responsibility of the individual using the space. Excessive cleaning will also be charged, if necessary.
