*SPECIAL* Free Parent Workshops - STRONG FOUNDATIONS: Join our supportive and practical 6 week class designed for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-5. Learn positive parenting techniques, age-appropriate discipline, emotional development strategies, and how to navigate common challenges like tantrums and routines. Whether you're a new parent or just looking for support, this class will help you feel more confident and connected in your parenting journey! Will be held in the evening with child care and a simple pizza meal. CNC Program Sessions
Check which program dates you would like to register for. We will contact you if a session is cancelled due to weather or illness. You will receive a confirmation email that will allow you to edit your submission. Registration is optional for most programs but helpful to be able to notify you if there are changes. Thank you!
*SPECIAL* MUCHO GUSTO- Registration required. 2 sessions to be held at 10:00-10:45am at the NEW Shutesbury Library. Spanish language music and movement class for children 0-4 and their caregiver. FREE!
MONDAY: ERVING PUBLIC LIBRARY PLAY GROUP 2 Care Drive, Erving with Gina at 10:00am- 11:30am. Free play time for families with children 0-5 years of age with a short circle time and books to wrap up! Thank you to the Erving Public Library for collaborating and supporting this program.
TUESDAY: TALES & TUNES at the New Salem Library with Katie 10:00am-11:00. Families are invited to participate in a music and literacy based program with books, rhymes, music and movement. Thank you to the New Salem Library for supporting this program series.
WEDNESDAY: TALES & TUNES at the SHUTESBURY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL with Katie 10:00am. Families are invited to participate in a music and literacy based program with books, rhymes, music and movement. Thank you to the M.N. Spear Memorial Library and Shutesbury Elementary School for collaborating and supporting this program.
WEDNESDAYS: WENDELL LIBRARY PLAYGROUP- Play outside on the playground or inside in the children's room. Socialize with other families, practice playing together, join in on activities, make friends. Wendell Library, 7 Wendell Depot Rd. Thank you to the Friends of the Wendell Library for collaborating and supporting this program.
THURSDAY: CNC CHILDREN'S CLOSET at 4 Montague Rd in Leverett at the Dixon House behind the church. Open on the following Thursday mornings from 8am-Noon. Accepting clean, non-torn children's clothing and baby gear. FREE! No appointments required.
FRIDAY: Leverett Library Playgroup with Jak at the Leverett Library- 10:30am. Free play time for families with children 0-5 years of age with a short circle time and books to wrap up! Thank you to the Leverett Library for collaborating and supporting this program.
SUNDAY ERVING PLAYTIME: Erving Elementary School, 28 Northfield Road, Erving at 10:00am -11:30am . Families are invited to participate in a playgroup for young children held in the school gymnasium. Socialize, make new friends, play and learn! Facilitated by Gillian & Brieta.
Parent Child Plus- SIGN UP! We are now enrolling families for our NEW home visiting program for families with children 18 months - 3 years of age children in Erving, Leverett, New Salem, Wendell and Shutesbury. Home visits for 1 hour a week from September 2025- June 2026. Free books and toys for every participant to support early literacy! FREE!
*SPECIAL* On Our way to School playgroup. This program is for children 2-5 years of age. REGISTRATION REQUIRED (Only register if you can attend at least 3 of the 4 sessions). These playgroups are to support your child and you as they prepare to go to school! Will be held at the Leverett Library at 10:30-11:30.
BONDING WITH BOOKS: GREAT opportunity for a special family story time and parent education program called Bonding with Books with educators from the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. Save the dates: Mondays, February 6, March 13, and April 10. To be held at the New Salem Library. Free resources and snack for participating families!

The Union #28 Community Network for Children program is funded by the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) grant awarded to the Union #28 Schools by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, the local school budgets, and donations from the community.
