GENERAL INFORMATION:

LOCATION: Ruby is based in Los Angeles at SAVED LA. She also tattoos regularly in New York City and 1-2 times per year in London.
AVAILABILITY: While in LA, Ruby works Wednesday through Sunday. Out-of-town dates will be announced via Ruby's Instagram as they become available. Weekend dates book out quickly and if you only have weekend availability, there will likely be a much longer wait for an appointment. Ruby generally only schedules 1-2 months at a time. Appointment times will vary depending on date and location.
DEPOSIT: A deposit that will go towards the cost of your tattoo is required to reserve your appointment. Deposits are final, non-refundable, non-transferable, and due within 24 hours of confirming your appointment time. Deposit payments must be sent via Venmo, details will be sent upon confirming your appointment date. The remaining balance is due in CASH upon completion of your tattoo.
PRICING: Ruby's appointment minimum is $350. For smaller and flash pieces, she prices per piece rather than by the hour. For larger-scale work or appointments with multiple designs, you will be booked in at her hourly rate. We are happy to provide a rough estimate of the time it will take to complete your tattoo as well as a quote for your appointment. Please note this is only a minimum estimate. Your final quote may change at Ruby's discretion if revisions are made to the idea, design, size, placement, or overall scope of work.
GRATUITY: While tipping is not mandatory, it is always greatly appreciated. As a guide, a 20% tip is customary within the tattoo industry, but tips can range between 10%-30%. It is completely at your discretion.
DESIGNS: Ruby does not show designs in advance. Small changes to the prepared design can be discussed in person on the day of your appointment, and can occasionally be made before we begin tattooing. If you decide to alter your design idea and/or dramatically alter the size, your appointment may need to be rescheduled for a later date and the price may change. If you decide to change your idea all together, please provide at least one week's notice. If we are notified any later than this a $200 / £150 redesign fee will be required that will NOT go towards the cost of your tattoo.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

PAYMENT: The remaining balance is due in CASH upon completion of your tattoo. If you want Ruby to consider taking payment via Venmo/PayPal/Zelle/Etc., please discuss this with us in advance as a 15% surcharge will be applied.
RESCHEDULING: If for any reason you need to reschedule, we require 72 hours notice prior to the time of your appointment. Any change to your appointment time after this will forfeit your original deposit and an additional deposit will be required to reserve a new appointment. At our discretion, we may allow for one courtesy reschedule per deposit if given the appropriate amount of notice. Multiple attempts to reschedule will result in the original deposit being foreitted and a new one collected to secure a future booking. In the event that we need to change either your appointment date or time, we will do our best to notify you at least 14 days prior to the date of your appointment. If you are unwilling or unable to reschedule in this situation we will work with you to provide a solution.
CANCELLATIONS: If you wish to cancel your appointment alltogether, your deposit will not be refunded.
LATENESS & NO-SHOWS: If you are late for your appointment this may affect the length of time we have available. If you are more than 20 minutes late to your appointment you will be considered a no-show. If you are a no-show or cancel less than 72 hours prior to the time of your appointment FOR ANY REASON, you will forfeit your original deposit and an additional deposit will be required to reserve a new appointment.
APPOINTMENT LENGTH: Tattooing can be a lengthy process. Discussing the final design and setup, as well as discussing aftercare and breakdown can add 1 to 2 hours to the length of your appointment. Please allow plenty of time, and discuss any same-day engagements you may have in advance. Please let us know if you are traveling long distances or are operating on any sort of time constraint.
TERMINATION OF PROJECT: Ruby reserves the right to terminate involvement in an appointment or ongoing project at her sole discretion. Reasons for termination may include but are not limited to excessive lateness, repeated rescheduling, numerous revisions to the overall scope of the project, etc. Termination of project is not grounds for refund of any existing payments/deposits.
ART: All designs produced by Ruby remain her intellectual property and may be re-used for any purpose at her discretion.
PHOTOGRAPHS: You will likely be asked to have your photo taken. By agreeing you grant the unrestricted right to the images taken for promotional or editorial purposes. Any restrictions or questions must be stated clearly and immediately.
