    • Translation Strategist 
    • Role: Translation Strategst
      Position Duration: Permanent full-time
      Location: Sydney or Melbourne
      Reports to: Senior Translation Strategist

      Position Overview

      As a Translation Strategist, you will be the face of our company, speaking with clients daily, helping to educate them on why they should invest in translations, and providing tailored translation solutions to meet their needs. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through inbound and outbound sales activities. 

      The role will involve daily interaction with leads, clients, and the Production team to provide tailored solutions for clients to meet their language needs. 

      We are open to applications from graduates, right up to professionals with 5 years of work experience in a similar role.

      This position can be undertaken either from our Melbourne or Sydney.

      If you undertake this role from Sydney, this will be a work from home opportunity. However, from time-to-time, you will be required to travel to meet clients face-to-face in NSW and ACT. Travel will also be required to our Melbourne head office several times per year.

      Responsibilities

      Overall

      • Provide high-quality translation advisory services and develop translation-based solutions, helping to drive revenue growth for the company amongst our prospective clients.

      Inbound sales

      • Identify clients' requirements & project scope, and estimate project costings.
      • Develop sales proposals and quotes.
      • Follow-up on proposals for conversion to sales.
      • Ensure clear and detailed hand-over of closed sales to the production team.

      Business Development and Account Management

      • Grow revenue through new business relationships, and expand on opportunities with existing clients.
      • Identify and reach out to prospects via LinkedIn, email and phone.
      • Identify potential panel, tender and RFQ opportunities and assist in the development of responses.
      • Video Conference meetings, phone appointments and face to face meetings as required.

      Customer Service

      • Handle web, email and phone requests from new or existing clients.
      • Forward calls to appropriate team members, as necessary.

      Account Management

      • Developing and maintaining business relationships with the assigned clients and ensuring that their experience with Ethnolink is world-class.

      Record-keeping & Reporting

      • Enter lead and sales data in our operational & finance systems
      • Produce high-quality reports for management and the team
      • General administration

      Desired Skills & Qualifications

      • Tertiary qualification in Translation and/or Interpreting.
      • Helpful, enthusiastic and eager attitude.

    • Project Coordinator 
    • Role: Project Coordinator
      Position Duration: Permanent full-time
      Location: Melbourne
      Reports to: Production Manager

      Position Overview

      As a Project Coordinator working in the multicultural communications industry, you will be responsible for overseeing translation projects from end-to-end, on-time, within budget and to the highest standards. The role will involve daily interaction with clients, translators, and our production team to ensure that our translations projects run smoothly.

      Reporting to the Production Manager and working as part of Ethnolink’s world-class Production team, you will have the opportunity to have a profound impact on the development of high-quality, culturally appropriate resources that make a meaningful difference in the lives of people in Australia.

      We are open to applications from graduates, right up to professionals with 5 years of work experience in a similar role.

      This position is based in Melbourne.

      Responsibilities

      Project Coordination

      • End to end project coordination of translation projects, including identifying clients' requirements, project scope and managing deadlines.

      • For larger projects, develop project schedules including resource assignments and project budgets.

      • Provide assistance to the quality management process, including proofreading documents.

      • Use appropriate tools and systems to analyse files and prepare them for translation, and to convert and publish translated files.

      • Participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings with the production team, to ensure that projects are being effectively managed.

      Account Management

      • Develop and maintain business relationships with assigned clients and ensure that their experience with Ethnolink is world-class.

      Record-keeping & Reporting

      • Input data accurately and in a timely fashion into our operational & financial systems.

      • Produce high-quality reports for management and the team.

      Sales & Customer Service

      • Occasionally backfill for the Translation Strategy team by handling web, email and phone requests from new prospects, including analysing clients’ requirements and providing quotes.

    • Interpreting Manager 
    • Role: Interpreting Manager

      Location: Melbourne, or Australia-wide (Work from home)

      Position Overview

      An incredible opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial go-getter to establish Ethnolink's Interpreting division. As an Interpreting Manager working in the language services industry, you will have the ultimate responsibility for Ethnolink's Interpreting business unit. This role will involve full operational and financial responsibility for the business unit. This will involve establishing operational excellence, ensuring world class interpreting service delivery to our clients, and new business development.

      This role is suitable for an experienced professional with a minimum of two years' experience in the Australian interpreting industry.

      This position can be undertaken either from our Melbourne, or Australia-wide (Work from home). If you undertake this role from anywhere other than Melbourne, this will be a work from home opportunity. Travel will also be required to our Melbourne head office several times per year.

      Responsibilities

      Overall

      • •Ultimate responsibility for the interpreting division and its success, including meeting revenue targets, managing budgets, undertaking growth initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, and developing new business.

      Management, oversight and leadership

      • Establish interpreting service from end-to-end.
      • Develop world class systems and processes, using best in class technology, to provide world-class interpreting service delivery to our clients.
      • Take full ownership of the recruitment of qualified and professional interpreters to our panel.
      • Autonomously handle challenges and escalations that arise in the interpreting division relating to interpreting bookings and personnel.
      • Oversee all interpreting contracts and manage the full life cycle of in-person interpreting requests.
      • Manage and enhance client relationships.
      • Ensure that the interpreting division runs smoothly.
      • Manage daily, weekly and monthly meetings with the Interpreting team to ensure that bookings are effectively managed.
      • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and develop best-practice service benchmarks in the interpreting dvisision.
      • Manage and enhance client relationships.
      • Provide and expert advice, counsel and support to the CEO regarding the interpretation business unit.

      Booking coordination and enquiry management

      • Organise interpreting booking requests.
      • Take enquiries from clients and prospective clients on how to make a booking or make changes to booking.
      • Ensure all interpreting requests are fulfilled to our mandated service levels.
      • Over time, manage a team of interpreting booking consultants who you will have direct management responsibility for.

       

      Desired Skills & Qualifications

      • A deep understanding of the interpreting industry in Australia.

      • At least 2 years' working in a similar position, or within the interpreting industry.

      • Demonstrated management skills, including operational management, people management and financial management skills.

      • Able to work under pressure.

    • Marketing & Communications Officer 
    • Role: Marketing & Communications Officer
      Position Duration: Permanent full-time

      Reports to: Growth Manager

      Position Overview

      The core mission of the Marketing and Communications Officer is to increase leads from prospective and existing clients. You will be expected to produce and disperse marketing communications across a variety of channels which will help to build trust and authority with our audience. Customer contact is mainly via email, social-media and phone.

      We are open to applications from graduates, right up to professionals with 5 years of work experience in a similar role.

      This position is based in Melbourne.

      Responsibilities

      Overall

      • Generate high-quality leads using a variety of marketing and communication activities.
      • Assist the Growth Manager with ad-hoc requests relating to growth initiatives, internal communications and business operations.
      • Coordinate suppliers and marketing assistants.

      Email Marketing & CRM Management

      • Manage email marketing activities including 'welcome series'.
      • Create and distribute our monthly e-newsletter.
      • Manage the CRM including segmenting contacts.

      Content Marketing

      • Create and publish engaging blog content on the company website, and as required, repurpose this content across channels.
      • Create lead magnets and embed them within our marketing strategy.

      Outbound Marketing

      • Support the Growth Manager in the execution of our outbound cold email marketing, and LinkedIn marketing strategies.

      Social Media Communications

      • Distribute content via company social media channels.
      • Manage the personal LinkedIn account of the CEO including creating and publishing posts and engaging with network’s posts.

      Webinars

      • Provide support to the Growth Manager in executing regular webinars for prospects and clients, including content creation to build authority and thought leadership.

      Proposal Development

      • Develop proposals that help to win opportunities.

      Podcast

      • Plan and manage the Culture Explored podcast.

      Marketing Collateral

      • Develop marketing collateral including brochures and fact sheets.

      Desired Skills & Qualifications

      • Tertiary qualification or certification in marketing, communications, or related discipline.

      • Strong content creation skills, including copywriting.

      • Ability to use a variety of tools including Google Analytics, WordPress, Canva and HubSpot.

      • Strong written communication skills, both written and verbal.
