Suicide is the biggest killer of young people in the UK.

Come and walk with us to support PAPYRUS, a confidential support and advice service providing support to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide and anyone worried about a young person who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts.
The Swansea HOPEWALK 2025 is scheduled to take place on

Wednesday 21st May 2025

starting at 5.00pm

Starting point: The Secret Beach Bar & Kitchen (formerly 360 Cafe) SA2 0AY walking to Blackpill and returning to the starting point.

Parking is available at the recreation ground car park on Mumbles Road (SA2 0AU)

The purpose of this registration form is for the organisers to have an insight into the approximate number of participants wishing to attend the Swansea HOPEWALK 2025.

If your plans change and you, or any other nominated individuals are no longer able to attend on the HOPEWALK event there is no need to notify us directly.

COVID-19

The event organisers ask that participants adhere to all COVID-19 regulations in place on the date of the event. Regulations can be found at: https://gov.wales/coronavirus

In the event that the organised HOPEWALK has to be cancelled due to a change in COVID-19 regulations, you will be notified via the email address you specified above. We request that you then notify any other participants you name within this form. In the event of a cancellation, we ask that individuals consider undertaking the walk in their household bubbles/group in an area accessible to them (subject to regulations allowing this.)

Swansea HOPEWALK 2025 - Liability Statement & Waiver

Release of liability statement and waiver

1 - I/we are participating in a Swansea University Wellbeing & Disability Service event. I/we recognise that the event requires physical exertion that may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I/we are fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.

2 - I/we understand that it is my/our responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the event. I/we represent and warrant that I/we are physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent participation in the event.

3 - In participating in the event, I/we agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which I/we might incur as a result of taking part in the event.

4 - In participating in the event, I/we knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waiver any claim I/we may have against Swansea University, Swansea University Wellbeing & Disability Service or PAPYRUS for any damages or injuries, including death that I/we may sustain as a result of participating in the event.

5 - No liability is taken between any individual and Swansea University or PAPYRUS, for unintentional exposure or harm due to COVID-19.

I/we have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents. By participating in the event , I/we voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above. This agreement remains in effect for as long as I/we participate in the event. If any participants are under the age of 18, an individual with parental responsibility is aware of these terms and conditions as well and grant me permission to participate.
