- 2.0 Nursing contact hours awarded after completion of evaluation as well as 2.0 PDP's (unless otherwise noted)
- $50 per session (unless otherwise noted) BCH Staff/Retiree Rate: $20

Session I only: October 1, 2025 - Introduction- Understanding Artificial Intelligance (AI) and Why It Matters for Nursin g7:00pm to 7:30pm (EST) / .5 nursing contact hours / This session introduces school nurses to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence. Participants will explore what AI is, how it works at a high level, and why it is becoming increasingly relevant in healthcare and education. Using approachable examples, nurses will begin to consider how AI might impact their daily work and professional decision-making.

Session II only: October 15, 2025 - Application - Practical Tools for School Nursing7:00pm to 7:30pm (EST) / .5 nursing contact hours / This interactive session focuses on hands-on applications of AI tools that can support school nursing practice. Through live demonstrations, participants will see how AI can streamline documentation, generate health education content, and assist with communication tasks. The session also highlights guardrails, what AI can and cannot do, and reinforces the nurse’s critical role in reviewing and validating all outputs.

Session III only: October 29, 2025 - Possibilities - Preparing for the Future of AI in Nursing Practice7:00pm to 7:30pm (EST) / .5 nursing contact hours / In this forward-looking session, participants will reflect on the opportunities and challenges of AI in school nursing. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining professional standards, safeguarding student privacy, and ensuring equitable use of technology. Nurses will leave with strategies for staying current and confident in evaluating AI tools as they continue to emerge in practice.
