  • HOBY Volunteer Interest Form

This form is for Phi Sigma Pi Members to express interest in volunteering for our National Philanthropy, Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY). Upon submission, a HOBY Staff Member will contact you to get started on your HOBY Volunteer journey.
  • HOBY’s flagship program welcomes school and community nominated high school sophomores to 3–4-day seminars each spring and summer. Being a HOBY volunteer means helping make life-changing leadership experiences possible for students—before, during, and beyond the seminar weekend. Volunteers play a vital role in expanding access to HOBY programs and bringing each seminar to life.

  • Three ways that PSP can volunteer with HOBY:

    1. Recruit Students
Help identify and encourage emerging student leaders to attend a HOBY leadership seminar. Volunteers partner with local seminar leadership to connect with schools and communities, share information about HOBY, and support the student nomination process.
    2. Fundraise and/or Sponsor Students
Support a local HOBY seminar by fundraising or securing sponsorships to help cover program costs or to provide financial assistance for a student(s) to attend a HOBY leadership seminar.
    3. Volunteer at a Weekend Leadership Seminar
Be part of the team that brings a HOBY leadership seminar to life. Volunteers support program delivery, work directly with students, assist with operations, and help create a safe, engaging, and inspiring experience during the 3 to 4 day weekend leadership seminar. You can learn more about specific HOBY volunteer roles here.
