MODIFIED MEETING PROCEDURES DURINGCOVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) PANDEMIC:
In an attempt to control the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to reduce and minimize the risk of infection, Governor Newsom issued Executive Orders N-25-20 (March 12, 2020), and N-29-20 (March 17, 2020), waiving certain Brown Act requirements around teleconferencing and public participation at Board and Board Committee meetings. Under the new Executive Orders, members may participate in meetings, via teleconference, without geographical or posting restrictions; while, requiring that the public meeting be accessible telephonically or otherwise electronically to all members of the public to observe and to address the Board or Committee. During the existence of these Executive Orders, the Board or Board Committee is not required to have a location for the public to be physically present to observe the meeting or to address the Board or Committee.
