Significant abnormalities of the placenta may necessitate your doctor or midwife sending your placenta to Pathology for further examination. They may just send a piece of the placenta and release the rest to you. Other conditions, such as signs of infection in the mother during labor, may mean that consuming your placenta will not be beneficial to you.
Service Description:
Traditional Method - Placenta is steamed, sliced, dehydrated and encapsulated.
This placenta method includes the preparation and encapsulation of the placenta, a storage container, written instructions for storage and handling, and guidelines for taking you capsules.
The Placenta Tincture is for use after all the capsules are used or even into menopause. The tincture will be ready 6 weeks after the placenta is encapsulated. Includes instructions, bottle, and dropper.
The placenta encapsulator will pick up your placenta at an agreed upon time and have your pills completed within 72 hours after pick-up. The placenta encapsulator will let you know when the pill have been shipped with a tracking number. Can arrange for home drop off for an extra fee.
Specialist picks up placenta at birthing location.
The placenta encapsulator will come to the hospital with 24 hours of notice after the delivery, pick up the placenta, prepare the capsules in their home. If the client delivers at the birth center or at home, the placenta encapsulator will pick up the placenta at the client's home. If delivery occurs in the middle of the night, the specialist will pick up the placenta the following day. It is the responsbility of the client to keep the placenta on ice or in the refrigerator. This service is $310.
Client Responsibilities:
-It is the client’s responsibility to discuss release of her placenta from the place where she gives birth and to ensure proper storage.
* Bring a cooler provided or hard sided cooler to the hospital with you to store your placenta.
* The placenta should be double bagged and kept in the cooler or hard sided cooler with ice. It can only remain at room temperature for 1-2 hours following the birth.
* Your placenta should not be treated with alcohol, formalin, or any other preservative.
* In a caesarean birth, notify doctor and nursing staff to be prepared with storage container and ice for placenta.
* If it is going to be more than 3 or 4 days before the placenta can be prepared it should be frozen.
-It is the responsibly of the client to notify the placenta specialists of any health conditions which may affect the health of your placenta or the health and safety of anyone who may come in contact with your placenta.
Refunds
-In the event your placenta is unavailable to you as it is sent to Pathology and not released to you, or if your placenta is discarded for any other reason, you will be refunded in full- minus the $100 non-refundable deposit.
-If you choose to terminate this contract prior to the start of the encapsulation process, you will be refunded in full, minus the $100 non-refundable deposit.
-If you choose to terminate this contract after releasing your placenta to the Placenta Specialist, there will be no refund.

Services and fees are for the preparation and encapsulation of your placenta, not for the sale of the pills. The encapsulated placenta is intended for ingestion by the mother. No specific benefits or effects are promised. Any benefits will vary from person to person. Some of the ascribed benefits of placenta consumption are supported by research; however these benefits have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA. It is your responsibility to determine whether using placenta preparations may be of benefit to you.

-If equipment is damaged by the myself or family member/friend, it is the responsibility of the client to replace the damaged equipment.
-Equipment failure is beyond the control of the Placenta encapsulator.
