BURFORD SADDLE CLUB EVENT REGISTRATION  

Rules of The Burford Saddle Club

• Riders under the age of 18 must wear a helmet at all times when mounted
• Grand Champions of the Novice Category in prior years cannot enter Novice classes the following year.
• Horse/rider combinations who enter a Walk/Jog class can ONLY enter un-mounted classes, and the Novice classes marked with asterisks; however, they are not permitted to canter or lope in said classes, subject to disqualification.
• No alcohol, illegal drugs, or substances such as marijuana is to be permitted or consumed on the show grounds.
• Please note that smoking cigarettes or using vapes is only allowed in the designated smoking areas.
• Littering on the grounds is prohibited and all participants are expected to dispose of trash properly.
• Riders must be in the vicinity of the gate when their classes are called; there will be no refund for missed classes, except if a horse or rider gets injured prior to the class.
• Foul language and unruly behaviour or bullying will not be tolerated.
• Shows start at 9:00 am; for online registrations, the deadline is the Thursday at 10:00 pm prior to the show date.

Waiver

I, the undersigned, being aged 18 or over, or being the parent/guardian of a child aged 17 or under, hereby:

1. Declare that I carry appropriate horse show liability insurance;
2. Declare that my horse(s) is(are) up to date with vaccinations, including, but not limited to, rabies vaccination;
3. Recognize the inherent risks associated with equine-related activities;
4. Hold harmless the Burford Saddle Club, its Directors, its volunteers, and its members in relation to any claim, action, or lawsuit resulting from any event related to my participation, or my child’s
   participation, into any activities organized by the Burford Saddle Club;
5. I grant permission to the Club PHOTOGRAPHER, to take photos and/or videos of me and my property at the Burford Saddle Club events. This permission includes the rights for the PHOTOGRAPHER to distribute or display these photos and/or videos in various media, publications, or formats and to use
   these photos and/or video for fund-raising promotional or commercial purposes. I agree that these photos and/or video are the exclusive copyrighted property of the club PHOTOGRAPHER.
6. Declare that I have read the Rules above, and will abide by them.
