Volunteering at Misfits of Oz Farm Sanctuary is for those who would like to actively help with routine chores. (Those who are interested in only visiting with the animals; please sign up for a tour instead.) These tasks include things such as feeding, filling waters, poop scooping, loading straw/hay, cleaning out and refreshing bedding, occasional application of meds, assisting in infrastructure etc. Please list any of these tasks you are unwilling or unable to do.

This volunteer agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into as of the date set forth below by Misfits of Oz Farm Sanctuary (MOOFS) . WHEREAS, the Volunteer has voluntarily contacted MOOFS and has expressed an interest in working with animals in the care and custody of MOOFS . In consideration of MOOFS’s agreement to allow the volunteer to view and/or interact with such animals, the volunteer hereby, for his/her heirs, his/her personal representatives, and him/herself represent and warrant as follows: 1. The volunteer is fully aware of the risks that dogs/pigs/cats/goats/any animals on the property pose and have elected to view and/or interact with one or more animals in the care of MOOFS voluntarily. The volunteer knowingly assumes all risks that exposure to animals may pose, including but not limited to disease, illness, falls, serious bodily injury and/or death. 2. THE VOLUNTEER HEREBY WAIVES, RELEASES DISCHARGES, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISES TO INDEMNIFY AND NOT TO BRING SUIT AGAINT MOOFS, its directors, officers, volunteers, staff, and all other agents, and attorney for any of the referenced parties and any other parties acting for or on behalf of the referenced partied from an and all rights and claims which the volunteer has or which may hereafter accrue to the volunteer and from any and all damages which may be sustained by the volunteer directly or indirectly in connection with, or arising out of, the volunteer’s exposure to such animals. ***I agree to MOOFS Code of Ethics. Should I display unprofessional, dishonest, disrespectful behavior or exhibit a lack of self-discipline, at any MOOFS event/function, I will be asked to leave the premises/event location. As a Misfits of Oz Farm Sanctuary volunteer, I pledge to: Respect myself and others, keep safety in mind at all times, to communicate with staff, other volunteers and the public in a polite and professional manner, guard the welfare of all animals at all times and keep all commitments made to MOOFS. By volunteering, I am making a commitment to staff, other volunteers and animals to carry out, to the best of my abilities, the tasks I have pledged to perform. ***Photographic Release I do hereby grant and convey unto MOOFS all rights, title and interest into any and all photographs, images, video and audio recordings made by MOOFS during the my activities with MOOFS including but not limited to any royalties, donations, proceeds or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings. I further permit MOOFS to publish said images, recordings and videos at will on its website, social media sites, marketing materials and in other media for advertising and other use as MOOFS deems appropriate in its sole discretion. ***Protection of Privacy Agreement I understand that I am a guest of MOOFS and I will agree to the condition of not sharing and information that could endanger the animals or humans of MOOFS. This includes, but not limited to, Sharing of physical address to anyone not approved by MOOFS to receive said info, and not sharing "location" on social media. ***By signing below, I, the guest/volunteer and if applicable, the parent/guardian, have read, understood, and executed this Release as of the date written above.( If Under the age of 18, a parent/guardian must sign on your behalf)
