In the Fall semester we will focus on the Abraham narratives in Genesis 12-22. Abraham is the exemplar of “faith” in the Hebrew scriptures. We’ll follow his story to see what his walk of faith looked like – what he did well and what he didn’t do well at all.
In the Winter / Spring semester we will listen to the Apostle Paul as he picks up this idea and reminds the believers in Galatia that they are made right with God by faith alone – not faith plus something else (like keeping the law of Moses). Abraham’s example figures prominently in Paul’s impassioned letter. We’ll work through this letter verse by verse.
