2025-2026 Epiphany Volunteer Registration Logo
  • VOLUNTEER TO BE PART OF EPIPHANY

  • Engage with the greater Atlanta community and participate in God’s mission in fresh and innovative ways.

    We welcome all ages and areas of expertise to help promote Epiphany to attract new applicants, screen applications, navigate business ideas, coach and network with social entrepreneurs, plan and host church events to celebrate the project and its participating ventures, and undergird all of these efforts with concerted prayer. Training will be provided for each volunteer role to guide activities and help drive outcomes.

    (See details and timing below)

  •  -
  • Below are the six roles available to Volunteers for Epiphany. Please read the descriptions of all six and then indicate your preference of first, second, and third choice.

  • SCREENERS

    Conduct high-level initial review of all online submissions. Review and rank applications to decide which ones fit with FPC focus and should be accepted into the next pool of potential recipients.

    Timing: January 2026 + some additional training

    Commitment: Approximately 10+ hours to read online applications and some additional time to personally meet with the Semi-Finalists.  This is focused reading and tight timing with a hard deadline, but you have the flexibility to read most applications on your own time.

  • NAVIGATORS

    Develop a team coaching relationship with a designated venture to provide guidance, advice, direction and encouragement for 2-month Navigation period, including supporting the venture in its development of a business plan, definition of key milestones and preparation of final presentation.  Navigators are the primary relationship owners with the ventures.

    Timing: February 2026 - April 2026 + some training and follow-up communications.

    Commitment: Weekly (or bi-weekly) scheduled phone call or meeting to keep Venture on task, on deadline and connecting with Subject Matter Experts (SME). We recommend at least half of your meetings to be in person/Zoom calls.

  • SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS (SME)

    Share your work experience and professional expertise with Ventures that desire need-specific advice, skills training and/or coaching.  Available as needed by Ventures and for scheduled work sessions.

    Timing: Availability from February 2026 - April 2026 for periodic meetings

    Commitment:  Meet with Venture in person at least one time with follow up as needed to get to the final stage of Epiphany process.  Your experience and critical thinking are key to the end goal of a final Epiphany Grant to help bring the social venture to market.

  • PRAYER

    Uphold FPC volunteers and social venture applicants in regular prayer as we develop new community relationships, discern how to best assist applicants, and ultimately decide with which solutions FPC will engage for funding and on-going engagement.

    Timing: Throughout complete cycle of Epiphany

  • EVENT HOSTS/PLANNING

    Help organize Training, Workshop and Epiphany celebration days at the church.

    Timing:

     * May 3, 2025

     * Periodic events - January 2026

  • MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

    Assist with marketing, writing, media relations/press releases, social media and outreach to Georgia's entrepreneurial community to promote Epiphany internally to our congregation and externally to the wider world.

    Timing: Ongoing from April 2025 - May 2026
