    Breaking Barriers: Recalibrate
  • Greetings!

Thank you for deciding to participate in this event.

The Manila Downtown YMCA Breaking Barriers: Conversations on Mental Health is a month-long project wherein a series of seminars will be held to raise mental health awareness and help the youth take a new approach to their mental health, forming a deeper understanding of its implications on their mind, body, and spirit. This project aims to further encourage and empower the youth to be more open and accepting of the state of mental health and support those who have difficulty in doing so.

For this program, there will be two (2) sessions of main talks on October 23 & 30, 2021, which will be held via Zoom and Facebook Live.

  • DAY/S ATTENDING

  • As mentioned earlier, this program will have two sessions, which are on October 23 and 30, 2021.

Day 1 contains two topics: "Self" and "Others". The "Self" talks about how an individual can take note of his/her wellness and what are the measures that one must take in order to properly take care of his well-being. While, the "Others" talks about how youth leaders should act in various situations and how to properly support peers who are undergoing mental health problems.

Day 2 contains a topic about "Community". It focuses on how YMCA members can be an aid to their community that they serve by directly supporting and addressing the problems that their sectors are facing. There will also be a training simulation at the end of the webinar, wherein the speaker/s will share the things that the participants can do if they are in situations dealing with individual and others’ mental health.
