The PTA provides all school supplies for all Hayhurst students. These supplies are waiting for the kids on their first day of school and are kept stocked throughout the year. Supplies include copy paper for the office which costs almost as much as all of the student supplies put together. School supplies alone cost about $20 per student for the year which is also the minimum suggested donation. Note: cost of school supplies was updated on September 29th from $25 per student to $20 to reflect savings from bulk purchase.
The PTA also pays for field trips for all, classroom enrichment, events, and more. The PTA expense per student this school year is about $170. You can donate as little as $10 with this form and as high as however much you want. When deciding on your donation amount, please keep in mind that not all Hayhurst families can donate, especially during these trying times.
This year, again, we will not have a live auction, which used to be our biggest annual fundraiser. Instead, we are calling parents, guardians, and community members to support the PTA through this direct give campaign and through a few other fundraisers later on. Your support allows us to help and offer opportunities to Hayhurst students, teachers, staff, and community.
Other opportunities to donate include Run for Hayhurst in October, the Winter Flower Sale in November, and the Online Auction in December. We know we’re all facing different circumstances; please take part as much as you can and want.
If for your household the P-EBT card that was mailed to your students over the summer offers extra funds, consider donating some of these funds to the PTA.
