ACT Academy 1st Session

Forms and Payment are due to Front Office by Friday, Sept. 26, 2025.

ACT Academy Information:

The ACT Academy is a program offered at KHS to allow students an opportunity to gain ACT testing skills and allow for ACT practice and question/answer sessions with multiple KHS Faculty.

The ACT Academy is open to all KHS students who:

(1) Have previously taken the ACT or Pre-ACT Test

(2) Are taking the ACT Test on October 18, 2025

Cost:

The cost is $40 to cover the cost of student spirals (students keep). No charge if previously participated in the ACT Academy.

Scholarships are available. Please check with Mr. Hart for more information.

Session Dates:

Tues. Sept. 30, 2025; Tues. Oct. 7, 2025; and Tues. Oct. 14, 2025

What to expect:

Each week expands on the prior weeks. You will learn tips and tricks as to how to help you if you get into trouble on the test. You will learn valuable pacing strategies based on your individualized score from each section of the ACT. You will learn how to maximize your score to your highest potential.

You will have homework from each week.

This homework is extremely valuable in helping determine your weaknesses, strengths, practice on the tips/tricks/strategies we will discuss, and helps to identify any areas of concern.

Data has shown that students who attend the ACT Academy raise their ACT Composite score an average of 2 points!

The more you put into the ACT Academy the more you will get out of it!

Schedule for each session:

We will start in the morning at 7:30 am - location varies depending on student enrollment. Be sure to listen to morning announcements and check your email.

You will be split into groups and we will start our break-out sessions.

You will go through Math, Science, Reading and English

A morning snack will be provided

Lunch will be provided

Lunch will be provided each session for ACT Academy students. Food will be sub sandwiches along with a snack and water

If there are any allergy concerns that we need to be aware of please let the Nurse and/or Mr. Hart know at the High School.
