If you've been around Bridgetown for even a short period of time, you know that Bridgetown Communities are the heartbeat of what we do at Bridgetown Church. The first step to joining a Community is to attend Basics. With that, we're excited to announce that we'll be hosting Basics again on the following dates:
Dates: Sundays, October 3, 10, & 17
Times: 2 – 4 PM
Location: Bridgetown Church (2120 NE Tillamook St)
Basics, a three part couse, is designed to introduce you to Bridgetown's story, vision, and our model for Communities. This round, with specific COVID precautions, Basics will entail:
1) Podcasts: We'll email you a few podcasts to listen to on your own prior to Basics Sunday.
2) Basics Sunday: The first Sunday session will be at our building. During our time, we'll be discussing how Bridgetown Communities exist to practice the way of Jesus, together, in Portland. There are so many ways that churches run small groups, so we want to share with you our model of Bridgetown Communities.
3) Midweek Training Groups: On these Sundays, we will be split into rooms at our building with pre-assigned groups of people who live in the same part of the city. We will explore together the inner workings of a Bridgetown Communities and what it looks like to share life together. (Note: Part 3 is only available to those who live in Portland.)
At the end of all this, the goal is for you to be trained and placed into a new or existing Bridgetown Community! Because we will be covering important information, it is super important for everyone to be present for all three parts of Basics. (If these dates do not work for you, please note that our next round of Basics will likely be offered in January or February.)
Note: Registration closes on Sunday, October 3.
