ELIGIBILITY: Long Island Area students in eleventh and twelfth grade of all abilities are eligible to participate.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING: Professionals in the arts and related fields will make up the panel of judges and will review all submissions and select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizewinners in each grade. Judgment and selection of submission winners are based on the following criteria: Originality, Execution, Creativity, Communication of the contest theme, Appropriateness of supporting artist statement, and adherence to our rules. The judges' decisions are final and binding.
AWARDS: COLLEGE-BOUND 11th through 12th GRADE WINNERS - First, second and third place winners in each grade will receive college scholarship awards ranging from $1000.00 - $250.00 which will be presented at the end-of-term senior awards ceremony of the winners’ respective schools. Scholarships will be paid directly to the Bursar’s office of the student’s college, university or institution of higher learning upon receipt of school documents.
ALL OTHER PARTICIPANTS will receive tokens of appreciation, have their submissions displayed on our online gallery, promoted through social media and the organization’s blog posts. Participants will receive an invitation to the organization’s annual fundraising event and acknowledgment for their work.
ALL WINNERS will be invited to: Participate in workshops and arts exhibitions organized by the organization. Present their work at the organization’s formal annual fundraising event.
DEADLINE: All entries are FREE, and submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on 3/ 14/ 2025.

CONTEST RULES and RELEASE TERMS Each entry must be the original work of the Entrant, created specifically for this contest.
Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc. reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry it deems to be offensive, inappropriate, derogatory, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous, or libelous, that is not in keeping with the organization's image or that is otherwise not in compliance with the terms of these Official RULES.
In addition, all entries must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual or promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion,nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age, which determination Your Time ForCreative Empowerment, Inc. may make in its sole discretion.
All entries created exclusively for this contest must have dimensions no larger than 12"x18" and photographed prior to upload.
Please prepare for delivery and display by mounting on a 22"x28" black or white foam board. Store in a safe place until you receive instructions for delivery.
Videos, clearly identified, must be uploaded on our submission page. All entrants are required to sign their creative expressions.
RELEASE TERMS
I hereby give the Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc. (“YTFCE”) all rights to use and publish my artwork, and identifying information (name, school, image, etc.) including the following permissions:
(a) To license and publish the art in YTFCE’s own name in conjunction with a digital display on the Your Time for Creative Empowerment, Inc’s website, if selected as per the rules of the Creative Empowerment’s Art Contest (“Contest”).
(b) To use, re-use, re-publish the same in whole or in part, separately or in conjunction with other artwork in any medium for and could be used commercial purposes.
(c) I hereby release and discharge the YTFCE from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of my information, image, and/or artwork. I have read the foregoing and fully understand the contents thereof.
