      The Regional Manager provides customer care and support to established membership. The position is responsible for retaining girl and adult membership in assigned, established geographic areas through implementing and sustaining excellent customer service. She/he is responsible for utilizing adult volunteer participation and sometimes girl input in implementing Girl Scouting in the assigned area.
       
      The position is responsible for developing and executing effective recruiting strategies to increase girl and adult membership in assigned, established geographic areas. She/he is responsible for securing girl participation and community partnerships in order to implement Girl Scouting within an assigned area.
       
      Major Responsibilities

      1.  Assists in achieving the council’s corporate goals for girl and adult membership through implementing membership strategies in assigned areas.
      * Implement a plan for girl and adult membership growth in targeted.
      * Implements membership recruiting marketing to result in increased girl and volunteer leads.
      * Prepares action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made in order to meet membership goals.
      * Utilizes membership database for daily tracking and communication with members.
      * Engages with community organizations, agencies and leaders, educators, and faith-based institutions to increase awareness of and participation in Girl Scouting.
      * Develops relationships with appropriate community leaders, organizations, and businesses to support recruitment efforts within targeted areas to positively impact membership growth.
      * Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in a timely fashion.

      2.  Troop and Service Unit support
      * Provides direct services to the volunteers in assigned areas.
      * Promotes council and Service Unit event program events, workshops, trainings, and other functions to troops, volunteers, and families.
      * Mentors adult volunteers.
      * Serves as a liaison between the council and volunteers within specified Service Units.
      * Provides the highest level of customer service to all members, both external and internal.
       
      A successful candidate must have:
      * A high school diploma or GED
      * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
      * The ability to effectively communicate with parents and volunteers
      * The ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting specific deadlines with minimal supervision.
      * Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL.
      * The willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check.
      * The availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required (on limited occasions)
      * Be energetic, trustworthy, and committed to the values of Girl Scouting
      * Be an independent and innovative thinker and problem solver who thrives in a team environment, is willing to tackle new challenges, and is very detailed-oriented
      * Should reside within the geographic areas of the territory
      * Willingness to maintain annual membership with Girl Scouts fo the USA
       
      Compensation: $18/hour
       

    • Retail Sales Clerk (Part-Time)  
    • POSITION SUMMARY:  Performs a variety of retail shop activities, including operating the shop in an organized, efficient, and accurate manner; providing exemplary customer service; processing transactions; tracking inventory; and maintaining an attractive and inviting shopping environment.

      HOURS:
      Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
      4th Saturday of the Month 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

       
      Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
      1.     Manages the opening and closing of the retail shop. 
      2.     Provides excellent customer service and high quality services to all internal and external customers by portraying a positive image of Girl Scouting.
      3.     Possesses/develops knowledge of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to provide merchandise information and product selection assistance.  
      4.     Works with the Finance Manager to identify trends and to promote and stimulate the sale of Girl Scout merchandise while meeting the needs of girls, parents, adult members, and visitors.
      5.     Creates and maintains appealing displays, promotional signs and flyers so as to promote and market the Council shop to increase annual gross sales, and achieve established benchmarks.
      6.     Has a strong attention to detail.  Processes customer on-site, email, and mail-order sales and returns; including processing cash, check, and credit card payments, and refunds in accordance with council policies and procedures.
      7.     Ensures that merchandise orders, receipts, returns, credits, and payment paperwork are completed in a timely manner. Report all delays.
      8.     Receives, inspects, counts, accepts inventory deliveries, bar codes product, and enters into the point of sale (POS)/risk management system (RMS).  Ensures that merchandise orders, receipts, returns, credits, and payment paperwork are completed in a timely manner. Report all delays.
      9.     Maintains and monitors inventory, and proposes orders for approval to the Finance Manager. Reports discrepancies such as shipment shortages, backorders, and unauthorized substitutions to both the shipping body and the Finance Manager.
      10. Processes returns to vendors immediately; delivers packages to the appropriate area for mailing. Assists with preparing, coordinating, counting, and processing annual and special inventories.
      11.  Identifies trends and makes recommendations to the Finance Manager for new items for sales, and placing orders.
      12.  Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
      13.  Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
       
      Required Skills/Abilities:
      1.     Strong communicator with verbal and written fluency.
      2.     Demonstrated computer, database, and word processing skills.
      3.     Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
      4.     Access to reliable mode of transportation.
       

      Compensation: $15/hour

    • Assistant Ranger (Full-Time, Seasonal)  
    • Girls Scouts of New Mexico Trails is hiring two Seasonal Assistant Camp Rangers; one at Camp Elliott Barker, located in Angel Fire, New Mexico, and one at Rancho del Chaparral, located near Cuba, New Mexico in the Jemez Mountains. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, and prior experience working in a maintenance position. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

      Position Summary:
      The position provides general maintenance services under the direction of the camp Ranger. The primary responsibility is to maintain the health and safety standards of the camp in a timely and organized manner. Knowledge of basic skills of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, ground maintenance and janitorial services.


       
      Dates for each camp:
                  Camp Elliott Barker       May 1, 2022 – July 22, 2022
                  Ranch del Chaparral      June 27, 2022 – August 19, 2022


      The primary work schedule is M-F, 40 hours per week, occasionally hours might change in the pay period as business dictates to include weekends, or nights.

    • COMING SOON: Sr. Manager of Volunteer Experience (Full-Time)  
    • The Sr. Manager of Volunteer Experience is responsible for executing volunteer engagement strategies. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality volunteer training, new volunteer roles, and other engagement opportunities. The Volunteer Engagement Manager will participate in community meetings and speaking engagements and organize other volunteer events to engage and educate volunteers. The Sr. Manager of Volunteer Experience works collaboratively with their team and other teams to ensure the success of the council’s goals and objectives.
