Age Limit
All Participants must be aged 18 or above on the first day of the event.
Entries at Your Own Risk
The Participant acknowledges and understands that the Event is a potentially hazardous sporting event. The Participant further acknowledges and accepts that participation in the Event is potentially dangerous and that there are numerous risks associated with participation. Such risks and dangers include, but are not limited to: Sheppard dogs, opening and closing gates, traffic accidents, collisions with pedestrians, vehicles, other drivers, and/or fixed or moving objects and the negligence of other road users. Further, the Participant fully understands and accepts that his participation in the Event may result in serious bodily injury and/or death to himself or others. The Participant further acknowledges and accepts that the route of the Event may require running/walking on public roadways and on rough uneven terrains upon which pose travelling hazards and risks. Further, the Participant accepts that participation in the Event will result in strenuous physical exertion as participants will be required to be active for very long periods of time, including the risk of being active through inclement weather and/or very hot weather. The Participant is strongly advised to take every reasonable precaution and in the case of any questions is advised to contact the Organiser prior to the Event. The Participant hereby declares that he voluntarily enters the Event with full knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with his participation in the Event
Waiver
The Participant’s booking of the Event is accepted on the understanding that he hereby waives, releases and forever discharges, for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and legal representatives, any and all rights and/or claims which he may have against the Organiser, its officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents and event sponsors for any and all damages and/or claims which may be sustained by him directly or indirectly arising out of his booking and participation in the Event (including the application of emergency or medical services at the event). Further, the Participant covenants not to take any action against the Organiser, its officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents and event sponsors for any and all damages and/or claims which may be sustained by him directly or indirectly arising out of his participation in the Event. This release and discharge includes, but is not limited to, claims for property damage, economic loss, breach of contract, lost wages, loss of profit, contribution indemnity, other indemnities, punitive damages, any form of consequential loss or damage or any other legally recognisable claim arising out of the Participant’s booking and participation in the Event (including all legal costs associated with such claims).
Medical
The Participant is responsible for ensuring that he has taken his own medical advice, and that he is medically fit and healthy and has undertaken appropriate training and preparation to participate in the Event. At the Event each Participant will be required to complete the medical questionnaire pre-printed on the reverse of their event number; issued at registration. It is the Participant’s responsibility to retain this event number throughout the duration of the Event.
Insurance
Each Participant is responsible for taking out any applicable or suitable personal insurance cover for his participation in the Event, and he shall provide a copy of his insurance certificate to the Organiser if requested. Your insurance should cover extreme sports.
Registration Details
If any details provided by the Participant upon registration change, the Participant must notify the Organiser immediately by emailing, info@ultrabug.co.uk. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Participant’s entry into the Event if any information provided by the Participant is found to be inaccurate in any way. In this case the Participant will be refunded his entry fee minus 15% administration costs.
Amendments to registration
Should a Participant wish to make any changes to his/her confirmed booking (s)he must notify the Organiser by emailing, info@ultrabug.co.uk, as soon as possible. The Organiser will do its best to meet the request but it may not always be possible.
If a Participant is prevented by genuine circumstances from participating in the Event, the Organiser may, at its discretion, allow the booking to be transferred to another person (the "New Participant"). The Participant must notify the Organiser by emailing, info@ultrabug.co.uk, not less than 21 days before the date of the Event. The New Participant shall be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
A Participant may switch his entry to the following event next season, if such a request is emailed 14 clear days before the date of the Event to, info@ultrabug.co.uk. Upon receipt of the email the Organiser will contact the Participant to arrange the transfer. In such an occurrence that the series does not take place in the future the transferred entry fee will not be subject to a refund. Accommodation bookings associated with the Event or any other bolt-on services such as travel products, hire services or otherwise are bought are non transferable to the following event season.
Event Description
Each Participant hereby confirms that he has read and understood the details and description regarding the Event contained on the website www.ultrabug.co.uk and any other information that may be sent to him by the Organiser. The Participant further acknowledges what ability is required and what is entailed in participating in the Event.
Further Information about the Event
No later than three weeks prior to the Event, each Participant will be emailed further details of the Event providing detailed instructions regarding the Event.
Event Rules
Each Participant must abide by any rules or regulations of the Event that may be notified to him by the Organiser or the venue owners at any point leading up to or during the Event.
Changes to the Event
Please note that all arrangements for the Event may be subject to change. Any changes will be notified to the Participant by email from two weeks prior to the date of the Event. If access to the published Event course is restricted for any reason an alternative route will be used.
Event Postponement
If the Event has to be postponed for any reason, the Organiser shall use its reasonable endeavours to arrange an alternative event, and the Participant will be notified of the new date and venue of the rearranged event. These Terms and Conditions will continue to apply to the rearranged event. No refund will be given if the Participant does not wish to participate in the rearranged event.
Event Cancelation
If the Event has had to be cancelled in advance of its taking place, entry fees may be refunded in full by the Organiser upon written request.
Respect
The Participant must show respect and courtesy towards other Participants and spectators. If a Participant behaves in any manner which is, in the Organiser’s opinion, poor sportsmanship or a risk to the safety of any other Participant, spectators or anyone else in attendance at the Event this may result in the Participant being disqualified and removed from the Event. All Participant’s fees paid to enter the Event or associated with the Event shall not be refunded.
Personal Possessions
Each Participant is responsible for the safe keeping of his own personal possessions and those of any spectators he may bring to the Event. Personal possessions left unattended at the Event in any facilities provided or otherwise are left entirely at the Participant’s own risk. The acquisition of essential equipment, including specific safety equipment, in order to take part in the Event is the responsibility of the Participant and the Organiser strongly advises that these acquisitions are secured before entering the Event.
For the avoidance of doubt the Organiser accepts no responsibility for the loss of, theft, or damage to any property owned by or under the control of the Participant deposited by the Participant in the Event’s event base camp and/or at any point of the Event course. This includes any transport of luggage or equipment that may be in element of the service provided during the Event by, or on behalf, of the Organiser.
Organiser’s Equipment
Where equipment is provided to the Participant by the Organiser, all reasonable care is expected to be exercised by the Participant in relation to this equipment. If in the sole opinion of the Organiser the Participant wilfully or maliciously damages equipment or where negligence has been shown in the care of such equipment, the Participant hereby accepts that the Organiser has the right to charge the Participant for the cost of replacing the equipment.
Event Numbers
Each Participant event number must be worn on the front of the body and must be easily visible at all times.
Third Parties
The Organiser is not responsible for any third party organisations that may be provide other services at the Event. The Participant uses any such services at his own risk.
Data Protection
By registering for the Event the Participant is agreeing to any data provided being used by the Organiser to contact him regarding other events. Ultrabug will NOT forward the Participant’s personal information onto any third party organisations.
