    Reportability Risk Rating Tool
  • The ACS Breach Reporting Risk Assessment (ABRA) tool is designed to assist Australian Financial Service License (AFSL) holders with decisions relating to the assessment of an incident that relates to the provision of a fincncial service as to the risk of it being a reportable breach to the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).

    Upon completion (i.e., purchase to submit) your risk score will be immediately viewable with downloadable PDF of the completed assessment with risk score. You will also receive a copy of your answers and risk reportability score to the nominated email provided at the start of this assessment.

    Note:

    • The words 'incident' and 'potentially reportable situation' are used interchangeably.
    • Fill out the form to the best of your knowledge; where possible avoid answering 'Unsure' to questions as this can affect the result of the assessment.

    This assessment does not cover:

    1. Bodies regulated by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and that cease to hold that status;
    2. A change in control of the licensee
    3. Auditors whose breach reporting obligations are imposed by other areas of the Corporations Act;
    4. Credit Licensees;
    5. Separate obligations to report in addition to the breach reporting obligation captured under s912D of the Corporations Act.

    Important:

    You should not rely solely on this risk assessment reporting tool. This tool is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation or availability of this Risk Reportability Assessment Tool.

    The Report is solely dependent upon the information of which you input. It does not consider any other information or circumstances. It should not be treated as the only deciding factor when determining whether or not to report a breach to the ASIC.

    Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information and question sets on the Reporting Tool, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that it is accurate, complete or up-to-date.
