Our Space Coast Basket Brigade is happy to support families in need by providing them with a Thanksgiving meal.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS AS WELL AS 2021 UPDATES
How It Works
Our Basket Brigade collects food items from volunteers and food drives, which we then turn into Thanksgiving baskets to be delivered to the families in need. We work with a variety of schools, churches, and local charities in supporting their families. Once those families are assigned their baskets, any remaining baskets are available to be delivered to families that we receive as personal nominations.
Nominating A Family
If you know a family in need you may enter their information below. All information remains confidential.
Please note that nominating a family does not guarantee that they will receive a basket, it will place them on our list and as baskets become available they will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Receiving A Basket
If your family is awarded a basket, you will be notified in writing to the email address that you provide below. Notifications will begin to go out after Monday, November 16th. As you can imagine the coordination of all of the baskets, and families we ask for your patience in this and please wait to receive your notification of a basket received before contacting us.
Basket Pick Up
Due to COVID we have less volunteers and delivery drivers this year, if your family is selected to receive a Basket they may need to come and pick it up on the day of the Brigade.
We will be able to make a small number of deliveries, if your family has no transportation and needs their basket delivered they must be home to receive their basket on either Saturday, November 20 or Sunday, November 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. As our turkeys are frozen, and our deliveries are being completed by volunteer drivers who have joined us to assist during that time period, anyone who is not home will have their basket paid forward to another family.
Thank you for doing something kind for another and nominating this family in need, we truly hope to be able to support them. Happy Thanksgiving!
