The Mayor and City Council of Casa passed an ordinance allowing for the creation of a fund to assist residents on the Casa water system that may be having financial difficulties. This fund is supported entirely by dontations from the community and will be administered by the Mayor and the Council.
Residents can apply one time per year for assistance to keep their water service from being disconnected. This is a discretionary fund and decisions on dispersment of the funds remain with the Mayor, City Council and Water Department.
If your request is denied, you may appeal the request by calling City Hall and ask to be added to the Council Agenda and present your request to the full Council at the regularly scheduled meeting.
You may be asked to provide proof of financial hardship if deemed necessary by the Mayor or Council.
