As part of the requirements for ordination, provisional clergy members are to present a project “that demonstrates fruitfulness in carrying out the church’s mission of ‘making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world’” (see ¶¶ 330.4(4) and ¶335 (7) in 2016 The United Methodist Book of Discipline). There will be questions regarding this ministry project included in the Leadership Section of the Full Connection application. Please keep in mind that the processes the provisional member uses to identify and pursue the ministry project will be the essential focus of the BOM’s evaluation—perhaps more than the “success” of the project.
Directions: This proposal is to be uploaded to UMCARES no later than December 15th of your first year of RIM. When you come for your continuance interview, your interview team will review the project with you.
