Considerations when recommending committee members:
- Dean's Office approval is required prior to naming a search committee.
- Supervisors of the position being filled cannot serve on the search committee (only under extenuating circumstances, justification required).
- Inclusive Committee Composition is important (Race/Ethnicity, Gender, Rank, Discipline, etc.).
- Dr. Shirley Carter (Diversity Advocate) or someone that has completed the training and Rachel Rolli (Human Resources) will serve on all committees as non-voting members.
- Staff searches should include at least one faculty representative, if applicable.
- Search Committee should typically have at least three, but no more than four members.
