ASEAN Young Climate Leaders Programme Application
The ASEAN region has been confronted by serious environmental problems that threaten its socio-economic future growth, not to mention its regional stability. There are four major environmental issues in the region that must be addressed immediately: water management, deforestation and land degradation, air pollution, and climate change. ASEAN Foundation in collaboration with SAP, GIZ and Common Purpose are organizing a unique and first of its kind youth leadership programme, the ASEAN Young Climate Leaders Programme (ASEAN YCLP). The core idea is to anchor leadership learning using the conduit of environmental challenge so that the participants are able to engage with each other, the larger ecosystem from across sector and the issue of climate change in order to come up with refreshing ideas in response to the challenge being set for them on the programme.
