  • Brachycephalic Release Conditions

  • Brachycephalic Release Condition #1

  • Due to the dogs predominant breed being a brachycephalic breed we are looking for a home with brachycephalic breed experience. If you do not have breed experience and you have been approved to adopt that means we believe that you have done significant research and have prepared yourself appropriately for this breed of dog.

We take this VERY seriously, if you are not properly prepared for this breed, you're not aware of the significant differences between these breeds and others, than PLEASE let us know IMMEDIATELY.

  • Brachycephalic Release Condition #2

  • All our brachycephalic dogs MUST vet and an AAHA certified vet, due to their high maintenance vet needs. Brachycephalic dogs are extremely expensive dogs to upkeep so please bare that in mind when applying and make sure you're in a finanacial place to take this dog on. If you feel your vet is experienced and knowledgeable enough to care for the breed and you're not willing to change vets for this new fur family member please talk to us IMMEDIATELY.

  • Brachycephalic Release Condition #3

  • All our dogs are inside family members however this is vitially important for all our brachycephalic dogs. These dogs may NOT be kept outside while your at work or ever outside unsupervised. They are not a breed group that can handle extreme weather temperatures or a lot of exercise. If you're looking for a hiking companion this is NOT the dog for you. These dogs are highly in demand and thus are at a great risk for theft. We again must reiterate the importance of the dog not being left outside unsupervised.

  • Brachycephalic Release Condition #4

  • We try to be as open and honest as we can about our dogs health concerns. By adopting a brachycephalic breed we have made you aware of any current health concerns and or any that they may have in the future. This includes, Btachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome, heat stroke, shallow eye sockets, watery or dry eyes, dental and gum issues, facial fold infections, heart concerns, IVDD, DDD, allergies, just to name a few. We do our best to disclose any concerns we have at the beginning of the adoption process as well as through the process.

We require that if a medical concern presents that you are not able or prepared to provide treatment for, High Plains PAW will be contacted IMMEDIATELY.
