Connect + Create at Dix Park (All Ages)

Artspace has teamed up with Dorothea Dix Park to offer off-site classes at the Dorothea Dix Park Chapel. These classes are one day, 1.5 hour long workshops where participants explore a new medium and create a unique product with a local artist! This program is free and open to all ages.

Adult, Youth + Teen Class (Year-round)

Artspace offers classes for Adults, youth and teens in a 2-6 hour format. We seek to offer classes in specialty mediums and processes, and can accomodate messier mediums with outdoor spaces as needed. We strive to connect our classes to current exhibitions, events and contemporary themes.

Summer Art Camps ( Summer programing only| Grades 1-12)

Artspace hosts 8-weeks of fun and creativity during our Summer Art Camp program for rising Grades 1-12. We offer weeklong summer art camps in various mediums, taught by professional artists, who lead students in the creative process, encourage exploration, and produce one-of-a-kind projects! Please note: There is a separate appplication process for summer camp proposals. Applications will be made available in November of each year. Reach out to Danny Peña, Education Manager for more details at dpena@artspacenc.org.

    Teen Portfolio Development

Lead a portfolio development intensive for students in rising grades 9-12. Students will work with their instructor to hone their technical and conceptual skills in preperation for advanced art courses (AP Art) and college applications. Students will produce artwork with the intent of adding to their portfolios, or focus on refining artwork that is already a part of their portfolio.

Field Trip + Guided Tour Program (All Ages)

Artspace offers a guided tour program, with a 45 minute tour and 45 minute art activity, adaptable for ages 5+. This program does have a set curriculum that instructors would be provided with, but new ideas are welcomed so long as they fit with this timed format.

    Community Outreach Events (All Ages)

Artspace seeks to engage with the community, go beyond our walls and bring the art to them! We seek teaching artists who would be interested in facilitating our make + take activities! We strive to cater our activities to particular events and the communities we serve. Interested in incorporating some of your own ideas, too? Let us know!
