• Salon Booth Rental Agreement

  • PARTIES

  • Booth rental agreement on   Pick a Date between      and     There will be a 30 day "trial run" period before the lease agreement starts, where either party may decide not to move forward with the rental agreement for any reason. Booth rent will still be paid for the trial period. This is a 1 year lease agreement starting on     Pick a Date     and ending     Pick a Date. After this time period, the agreement will change to a month to month contract unless other arrangements have been made.

  • TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • The renter agrees to rent the booth/ station on a monthly basis.
    Booth rent will be $   monthly, for       days per week.
    Days selected for rental:                           
    Using the space on "off days" may be available with manager approval & additional booth rent fees or switching days. Included in rent is the salon space with a key to the building, use of shampoo/back bar areas, use of towels, washer & dryer, and basic utilities such as water & electricity. The renter will provide their own phone service, be responsible for setting their own appointments, advertisements, handling their own payments, setting their own hours of operation on their selected rental days, providing their own back bar supplies & all products & chemicals, gowns & capes, styling tools, assistants, insurances, licenses, and any other needed services and supplies. The renter is responsible for the orderliness, cleanliness, and sanitization of their own station or any common area used. This includes washing & folding towels, and wiping down the back bar area and their stations. Everything must be clean & put away at the end of their work day, even if other renters are still in the salon. Renter is responsible to pay for any breakages or damages to the salon done by themselves or their clients. Renters may decorate their stations to their liking, excluding paint- within reason. Manager/ owner approval may be required. 

  • TERMINATION

  • A renter may be terminated at any time by the owner or manager for disruptive conduct. We will not tolerate drama, disrespect, or mistreatment of any form. Any illegal or illicit acts on the premises will be grounds for immediate termination of rental agreement. If the renter wishes to terminate the rental agreement on their own terms, they will be responsible to pay booth rental fees through the end of the lease or until we find a replacement renter and pay an early cancellation fee of $500. 30 day written notice is required before the renter wishes to leave the space.

  • COMPENSATION

  • Rent for each month is due on the 1st. There will be a $10 daily late fee applied for every day rent is late after the 5th. If rent has not been paid by the 10th & no communication has been made to the salon manager or owner, this will be a notice to vacate the space and contents of the station will be removed & the station will become available for another tenant. Early termination fees will still apply. The renter may not assign this rental or sublet any portion of the premises. The renter may sell their own retail products without any profit due to the owner or manager, unless other arrangements are made. All state, local, and federal taxes resulting from the sale of retail products are the responsibility of the renter selling the products or services. 

  • ORDINANCES & STATUTES

  • The renter shall comply with all statutes, ordinances, and requirements of the city of Sandy, the state of Utah, and all federal authorities. Fines resulting in failure to be properly licensed or to meet licensing standards are the responsibility of the renter. The renter is a self-employed, independent contractor, not an employee of the owner or landlord and is responsible for all taxes of any kind related to their business.

  • LICENSES

  • The renter must maintain proper licensing issued by the state of Utah, at their own expense. The license must be publicly displayed on the premises at all times. Failure to provide licensing or working on an expired license may result in termination or suspension of the ability to work in the space. Booth rent will still be required to be paid in this instance.
