Arts & Justice (A&J)
Dive into a world of adventurous art-making with this free after-school program that brings together social justice and theater. Create movement, poetry, songs, and theater with other high school students all over the city with the support of BAM's dedicated and innovative teaching artists. Over thirteen weeks you will become an ensemble that performs your own devised theater work in our Fishman Space at BAM! Our application deadline is Monday, February 7, 2022. The program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays, February 15, 2022-May 12, 2022 from 4pm-6pm.

COVID Compliance Information
BAM works in accordance with the NYC vaccination mandate for attending in-person performance venues. We require participants to provide proof of vaccination one week prior to the start of this program. Participants are asked to upload their Excelsior pass or a copy of their vaccination card with their name and date of vaccination clearly labeled on those forms. Once accepted into the program, students are required to wear masks for the entire duration of all workshops on BAM and Mark Morris Dance Group campuses. Please list your weekly availabilities (Monday-Friday) during the Spring semester. We need this information because we will schedule a brief interview with you before the start of the program. We also need to make sure that you are available for the program in its entirety.
Audition/Interview Information
There will be an informal audition in January of 2022. You will be contacted by a BAM staff member, either by email or by phone, to schedule your in-person audition.
