    • 1. Springboard Ambassador of the Year Award

      Rewarding the most outstanding accomplishments by an individual Springboard Ambassador and their promotion of careers in hospitality, leisure and tourism
    • Awarded to the most outstanding individual ambassador (*) whose activities across the past 12 months have raised the profile of the industry, and have had significant impact and proven success in changing people’s perceptions about a career in hospitality, leisure or tourism. Judges will be looking for evidence of regular, recorded activity to support an application. The judging panel will also be looking at the impact the Ambassador’s activity has had on their company’s business goals and development, and how it has helped Springboard to achieve its goals.

      (*) Springboard Ambassadors are people already working in the industry who must have completed the Springboard Ambassadors programme.

    • 2. Best Kickstart Employer Award

      Success in providing high-quality work experience placements to drive a pipeline of talent
    • Rewarding the most effective kickstart work experience provider (can be an individual, group, business or collective). The winner will clearly demonstrate how their kickstart programme aims to drive a pipeline of potential recruits, offering a structured plan to upskill a whole new generation and evidence of converting candidates from kickstart to a permanent role.

    • 3. Best Apprenticeship Strategy Award

      Success in exemplary recruitment and development of hospitality, leisure and tourism apprentices
    • This award rewards employers who successfully demonstrate excellence in the recruitment and development of apprentices, with particular attention given to organisations that have implemented inspiring programmes.

      Judges will be looking for evidence of a clear focus to develop the organisation’s apprenticeship strategy; through an increase in the number of apprentices recruited, the number of apprentices which have been retained and progressed within the organisation, and how apprentices’ development needs are actively supported.

    • 4. Best Recruitment Initiative Award

      Success in implementing innovative, impactful and cost effective approaches to recruitment
    • Rewarding the employer who can most clearly give evidence of innovation and creativity in their approach to recruitment. Judges will look for initiatives that have successfully overcome negative images attached to the hospitality industry, demographic issues and/or skills shortages and who has adopted a longer-term approach to recruitment.

    • 5. Best Education and Industry Partnership Award

      Success in promoting relationships between industry and education at any level, with schools, colleges and universities
    • Highlighting the importance of links between industry and education at every level, this award will go to the organisation which has successfully demonstrated good links with schools, colleges or universities. The judges will be looking for evidence and demonstrable results, effective on-going relationships and partnerships that complement a business’s HR strategy in small or large organisations by working effectively with education establishments.

    • 6. Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Award

      Success in demonstrating a clear commitment to equality and inclusion across all strands of diversity
    • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion ensures fair treatment and opportunity for all. It aims to eradicate prejudice and discrimination on the basis of an individual or group of individual's protected characteristics. Judges will be looking for evidence of companies actively demonstrating best practice for promoting equality and combating workplace discrimination.

    • 7. Disability Confident Award

      Success in obtaining Disability Confident status and continuing to demonstrate commitment to the scheme
    • Disability Confident is creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people. Judges will be looking for details of how businesses have develop a fully inclusive and accessible recruitment process, making sure that there is an adequate disability equality awareness within the organisation, and that there are no barriers to the development and progression of disabled staff members.

    • 8. Best Talent Onboarding

      Success in effective onboarding practices to help employees become part of the organisation and make an active shift towards the contribution to organisational goals
    • This award rewards organisations that demonstrate an outstanding approach to onboarding and integrating of new team members. Judges will be looking for evidence of a carefully structured process, that complements company culture and recognises the importance of covering operational, social and strategic integration.

    • 9. Career Development Initiative Award

      Success in providing outstanding opportunities for career progression
    • This award acknowledges the organisation that demonstrates the most outstanding opportunities for career development. Judges will be looking for evidence of an internal pipeline of progression, succession planning, a focus on job enrichment (not just promotion) and a general culture of career progression within the organisation.

    • 10. Employee Health & Wellbeing Award

      Success in demonstrating a commitment to employee health and wellbeing initiatives and strategies
    • This award recognises employers who demonstrate highly effective activities, policies or strategies to promote or improve health and wellbeing within their organisation. Judges will be looking for successful approaches to promoting or measuring positive mental and physical wellbeing.

    • 11. Best Employer Award

      Success in developing the best approach to recruitment, retention, progression, well-being, and recognition
    • This award recognises employers who demonstrate a well-rounded and consistently excellent approach to recruitment, retention and progression, as well as involvement with wider industry initiatives. Judges will be seeking evidence of an excellent all-round employer.

    • 12. Business Innovation Award

      Successful initiative to innovate and adapt their business model in response to current needs of the industry
    • This award acknowledges the organisation that demonstrates the most outstanding opportunities for business innovation. Judges will be looking for examples of successful initiatives to pivot the business model or updating processes and systems to affect a positive change.

    • 13. Best Practice Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Integration Award

      Success in rewarding outstanding corporate responsibility to environmental, social and governance factors
    • This award rewards the organisation which clearly demonstrates a real commitment to corporate responsibility at a strategic and operational level. Judges will seek evidence of effective initiatives which demonstrates their impact on environmental, social and corporate governance.

    • 14. Community Engagement Award

      Successful individual, group or collective supporting the local community through initiatives, generosity of product or staff time, or partnering with another local business or charity
    • This award rewards an individual, group or collective which have demonstrated a real commitment to supporting their local community. Judges will be looking for examples of coordinated care efforts, initiatives and collaborations that have made a positive impact in and with communities locally.
