SUMMARY OF RLM RESPONSIBILITIES
RHA/Programming/Community Building
- Recruitment and advising/accountability of RHA student group
- Supervising/accountability of events
- Submitting program planners
- Submitting evaluations and providing feedback to RAs & RHA in large learning settings
- Ensure purchasing plans are appropriate and followed through
- Ensure marketing plans are at a minimum
- Social media post (3 days before event)
- Door tags (3 days before event) on all campus resident doors both sides of campus
- Posters on all residence hall bulletin boards (5 days before event)
- Creating and posting large bulletin board in Annex (5 days before event)
- Ensure all RAs are in attendance at all events
- Creating and posting all social media postings Residence Life and Involvement Network Accounts
- Community Connections RA accountability (all residence halls)
- Bulletin board inspections and RA accountability (all residence halls)
- Monthly residence life newsletter (Ready for distribution by the 10th of each month September - April; NO DECEMBER)
Night Monitors/Residence Hall Service Desks
- Night Monitor supervision
- Recruit, hire, train, follow up and evaluate Night Monitors
- Set NM schedule and ensure up to date each week on the shared calendar
- Find alternate staffing if NM vacant shifts exit
- Ensure NM logs are completed for each shift and timely
- Ensure office and NM desk are properly stocked (spare key check out binder, pens, etc) and cleaned daily
- Weekly key inventories (all 3 boxes); check all 4 drop boxes before doing inventory
- Weekly empty room inspections including empty Rimview bedrooms (all residence halls)
- Weekly common area furniture inventories (all residence halls)
- RA accountability of all Facility checks & GOTCHA
- Completion aod Facility checks & GOTCHA (Jorgenson & Rimview)
- Mid-semester/year room checkouts (check roster and complete weekly)
ALL RLMS
- Collateral assignment (listed above)
- On-call rotation including academic breaks
- Desk shifts when vacant (if not able to picked up by RAs)
- 10 office hours per week (5 DLR, 5 hall; all DRL during winter and summer breaks while contract is in session)
- Weekly report
- Daily report
- Attend and present at meetings weekly staff meeting/leadership training
- Weekly 1 on 1s with AC
- Weekly leadership meeting with ACs and DRL
- Weekly staff meeting
- Staff residence life booths at Job Fair (fall) & Leadership Fair (spring)
