Course Description
Do you ever wish for a completely new and energized approach to how your camp thinks about, talks about, and engages in fundraising? Many organizations aspire to have a Culture of Philanthropy. Few ever achieve it. This JCamp 180 offering is designed to get your camp there.
Expanding on many learning resources from our popular GIFT program and three cohorts of GIFT Leadership Institute, this program will include JCamp 180 collaborators to co-deliver the curriculum. Ultimately, the GIFT Leadership Institute intends to prepare you for an organization-wide breakthrough to instill a powerful new culture. For this reason, camps enrolling in the GIFT Leadership Institute must commit to full participation by their Executive Director or Camp Director, the Board Chair or equivalent lay leader, and development professional. Up to 5 individuals can be part of your team.
Currently, the course will be held virtually for the first retreat, and in-person for the second and final retreat. This is subject to change as the COVID protocols evolve.
By applying for this program, you agree that the entire team in this application is willing to attend the online session in January, one in-person retreat in April, and one final in-person retreat in October. Monthly team coaching calls will be arranged with Laurie and the participants from each camp.
Please note that upon acceptance into GIFT Leadership Institute your team will be requested to fill out a financial form.
Application process:
1. Camp representative submits Preliminary Application, providing names and contact information for all individuals from your camp who wish to participate in GLI. This application is due by October 25, end of business day.
2. All individuals who wish to participate from your team are required to submit their individual applications by November 1. We will provide a link to you and your team for this application.
3. A team interview will be scheduled as soon as your team has completed their individual applications.
4. You will be notified of your acceptance by November 22.
5. Each camp accepted into the program will be asked to complete a financial status report.
