• The Lift Every Voice Transportation Justice Storytelling Project

The Lift Every Voice Transportation Justice Storytelling Project will ask: What’s the most important thing about transportation you want people to know? The answers will be mapped and shared with decision makers, in podcasts, and social media. There will be stipends for the interviews - $100 per person, prioritized for BIPOC.
  • Project Goals

The Getting There Together Coalition wants to highlight transportation stories--the needs and barriers--from Black, Indigenous, and communities of color, women, people with disabilities, youth, older adults, and people living on a lower income in the greater Portland region.

The primary goal of the product is to interview and compile stories from 10-20 individuals, which will be produced into a variety of media including recorded podcasts, video, text, and images for social media and website publication, etc. A secondary goal for this project is for the stories to be put into GIS/storymap form (example 1; example 2) to be hosted on the Coalition’s website.
