    Text: Acts 20:25-35

    Main Idea: God has lovingly given godly elders to shepherd, protect, & teach the Word to each local flock which is the Church of God.

  • 1.     The elders are called to maintain a right &      relationship with God. (v. 28a, 1 Tim 4:16, 2 Tim 2:20-21)

    2.     The elders are called to      the flock of God. (v. 28b, Heb13:17, 1 Thess 5:12-13, 1 Peter 5:1-4)

    3.     The elders are called to      the flock of God from false teaching. (v. 29-31, 2 Pet 2, 2 Tim 4:3)

    4.     The elders are called to      the Word of God & pray. (v. 32, Acts 6:4, 1 Pet 2:2)

    5.     The elders are called to be      and not takers. (v. 33-38, Matt 6:24, Heb 13:5)
