US Citizens: Visa-free travelers (includes US & Canadian citizens) will need to request the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) authorization before visiting the Schengen Area. They can complete an application and pay a service fee of 7 euros (about $8) online. The authorization is valid for three years.

The Schengen Area is a zone of 26 European countries that do not have internal borders and allow people to move between them freely, including countries such as Spain, France, Greece, Germany, Italy, and Poland.

NON-US Citizens: Please contact the Embassy for the country that issued your passport for visa and/or ETIAS requirements & assistance.

Cruise-Only: Plan your departure from the US on August 20, 2023, to arrive in Budapest on August 21, 2023. Embarkation begins at 4:00 PM on the ship. The cruise will conclude in Vilshofen on August 28, 2023. All guests should disembark before 9:00 am.

Cruise & Land: Plan your departure from the US on August 18, 2023, to arrive in Budapest on August 19, 2023, for the Pre-Cruise Tour in Budapest. The Post-Cruise tour in Prague will conclude in Prague on August 31, 2023.
Travel Insurance

We recommend that you purchase travel protection. Expanding Horizons offers a group travel protection plan (available to guests residing in most states). The travel retailer is not qualified to answer questions about the benefits, exclusions or conditions of the travel protection. For a summary of plan details on coverage, benefits, limitations and exclusions of the protection plan, you would need to contact the provider.

MOBILITY CLAUSE: A reasonable degree of mobility is required. Passengers may be required to ascend and descend flights of 12 or more stairs to board or exit the ship.

Persons with a walking disability, an injury, or who require a wheelchair/scooter or another mobility device, must have another dedicated person traveling with them to assist with their needs.
