FEES AND TERMS
A $200 deposit is required to hold your horse's spot for training at J Family Equine.
J Family Equine charges $1000 per month for all training. This includes 5 days a week of training and full board. Board includes a stall, hay, Redmond Rock salt licks, and fresh water, as well as Grand Premium Plus supplement fed daily. Feed will be provided twice a day, and the stall will be mucked regularly. Board does NOT include farrier work, vet visits, a winter blanket, or a fly mask.
The first payment is due on the date that training is set to begin and subsequent payments are to be made once monthly.
All horses must be up to date on vaccinations and deworming upon arrival.
While in training, all necessary medical care, vaccinations, de-wormers, and horseshoeing will be arranged and paid for by the owner. The trainer will monitor the horse and keep the owner informed if any medical care or farrier work is needed.
Clients may watch training sessions as often as they would like, and are offered up to one lesson a week with their horse, which is included in the cost of training. The trainer recommends to have at least 2 lessons with your horse before taking them home after training, but more are encouraged. Lessons will be for the owner or primary rider of the horse only. Lessons for family/friends of the owner of the horse will be offered as a private lesson on the client's horse at $45.00 per lesson.
The owner will receive a demonstration of the horse's skills regularly and at the end of the training contract.
There will be no reimbursement of funds should the owner decide to take the horse home before the contract ends unless it is trainer mandated.
In the event of an injury to the horse, the owner has two options:
- For a short term injury the owner may continue to pay the normal monthly fee of $1000 and have medical care given in place of training (all medical supplies will be billed to the owner).
- For a long term injury the owner may take the horse home for a healing period and the contract will resume when the horse is returned to the premises.
Payments may be made by cash, check, Venmo (@jfamilyequine), or Paypal (paypal.me/JFamilyEquine). Payment may be mailed to J Family Equine at the address listed below.
