We think of our members working within groups we call circles. Each circle contains members interested in doing woik within the goal(s) of that circle. The members of each circle also establish the goals of that circle, which are changed periodically as the members see fit.
The General Circle. consisting of the Executive Committee and all other interested members, meets at least monthly and is the place where the circles communicate with each other about their on-going activities and determine ways to coordinate with each other. This circle also is a watchdog, making sure that the above stated mission is being followed and making changes to the mission and by-laws as necessary.
The Legislative Action Circle relates to the work of the active circles listed below. It translates the work within these sub-circles into writing and supporting legislation. In these circles much of the heavy-duty week-to-week work is done by EJC members.
