- Are you interested in an animal with special needs? Special needs can be as simple as a need for daily eye drops, or as complex as blood sugar testing and daily insulin injections. A special needs animal may be missing a limb or an eye, be on a prescription diet, or on medication for thyroid or cardiac issues, and still be completely functional; able to receive and give unconditional love.*
- Are you willing to accept a pet with behavioral problems who may need special training? A pet with behavior issues may have been so abused that he has serious trust issues and exhibits defensive behavior. He may have been left alone for long periods of time and now becomes anxious when his person is absent. He may have been starving and is protective of his food. We are extremely careful to place pets with behavior issues into experienced homes, with families or individuals prepared to deal with them. We are always here for support and advice. Together we hope to help these special animals overcome their histories and become loving pets.
